That 40 second guitar solo tells a story about a young kid who was never quite good enough. Always left out, picked on by his peers, but he kept trying and trying and trying, and practicing every night to not only prove them wrong, but because he knew he possessed greatness. It was a hard and lonely road, but he finally got the chance to prove his doubters wrong on a grand stage, and from that point on he became a legend. He was carried off the stage in slow motion like Rudy. It's a story of perseverance and dedication to something he loved. Never give up on your dreams! I just frickin LOVE this guitar solo!!! Edit: yes, this is my interpretation of what the solo means, and how the sound comes together to tell a story. The story in my mind. Maybe the culmination of 80s movies, or something. But it feels so real to me.

This is a song that has stuck with me since the first time I heard it back when I was a kid. Europe are one of the most influential bands ever. There's a spiritual message in the lyrics. This song came to me a few days ago and somehow something was telling me to pay attention to the lyrics. It has happened in a very significative and precise moment in my life. The Lord does not need to change the natural way of things to make miracles. It begings with "Keep on walking that road and I'll follow. Keep on calling my name, I'll be there". Every word of the song is a message very useful for me at this precise moment.
