@OfficialBlueJay416 You will have to make a list of what devices you want to connect to which channel and then you can look it up in the manual of the mixer. There you can find all information about the connectors on the mixer. For connecting a typical PC or notebook for example, you would need a "3.5 stereo jack - into - 2x 6.3 mono jack" cable and you can put it on the 5/6, 7/8, 9/10 or 11/12 channels. For most professional microphones, you will neet a 3pin XLR(f)-XLR(m) cable. And so on.

@UntitledMutt Yes, you can use it for drums but keep it in mind that the more complex your drum set is, the more microphones you will need for recording, and maybe a mixer with 8 or more microphpne channels would more likely be satisfactory. Of course if you have an e-drum set it will only need a stereo channel, so you and your band with for example 2 microphones, 2 guitars and a synthesizer will easily fit around it on this handy and small mixer. For drums you will also find compressors useful.

(..continued) case,it actualy contains 2 separate channels (without the noise cancelation) instead of the 1 the balanced one has. Another thing i think you got wrong is that the jack inputs on the mono and stereo channels are not suitable for a MIC level signal but LINE level signals.A typical mic lvl signal is in the mVolt range whereas a line lvl signal is around 1-2 Volts if i recall.Practicaly this means that if you plug a Mic in the Line input,the signal will be faintly heard or not at all
@smartwizardst113 жыл бұрын
@massac78THE2nd Obviously not. One channel is for one sound source so you will need a mixer with a number of separate microphone channels that at least matches your number of microphones. And of course you might want to have some free channels in case you want to plug in other instruments and/or vocals too. What you can do as some little trick is using the FX returns or even the tape return as an input but be sure to use a separate mic preamp then because those inputs are fitted for line level.

Could this be used as an audio interface for recording? If so what would be the best way to do that? I don't have RCA inputs on my PC so could I just get like an RCA to USB adapter to do it?
@smartwizardst113 жыл бұрын
@comentarioo Using a good quality external soundcard can give you a more clear sound as you can get rid of some noise that would be picked up from surrounding devices by the internal one. Also there are external cards with more channels for playback and recording. If you want a good home studio, you might look up one of those, like an ESI MAYA 44. Anyway you could use any soundcard, it doesn't matter all that much. You just need the right connector cables to use it together with the mixer.

@SereinMusic Some behringer mixers do have a USB interface but not this one. Look up the XENYX 1204USB or its bigger brothers (XENYX ????USB) on the behringer website for that stuff. Some of those even has an effect processor.
@smartwizardst113 жыл бұрын
@massac78THE2nd Sounds and looks like a pretty decent device now that I looked it up. Send me a message when you start using it. I'm curious about its performance. Multichannel interfaces are a very nice choice since you can make a recording once and do all the mixing on the PC many times trying different settings so I'm all for your decision. You might still consider buying a mixer later with "direct outs" on the channels that can be hooked up to this interface. That could come in really handy.

Another advantage you'd have is that you don't need a haedset with a mic for gaming...you can just use your awesome mic and then some really decent headphones. Because I've noticed that gaming headsets tend to not be as nice as studio headphones and such.

Good video!!! A little question? Does phantom power applies to all XLR inputs? What if you put on one of the channels condenser mic and on the other a dynamic mic?

You cannot use XLR and 1/4" on the same channel at the same time. Per manual. It is only one channel.

You’ll have to get a stand-alone Reverb unit like a TC Electronics M100 to get your EFX for vocal, connect that to the Behringer

Its not correct that you can plug both the phantom power input and the xlr at the same time on the same chanel. Its possible but the manual strongly advise against it. Read the manual to be sure. it may work, but for how long and ro what quality on the signal? Great video otherwise :)

Nice and informative review but i think you are confusing "balanced" with "stereo", it's NOT the same. BTW English isn't my native language so i'll try to explain as much as i can :D Balanced refers to a Mono signal that is sent trough an XLR cable or a TRS (aka Stereo) jack. I'm not going to go into technical details, but the whole purpose of a balanced signal is that you can cancel the noise out. The most common use for a TRS jack is for stereo signals (Left&Right) but in this (continued..)
