For a player like Lys, the most important thing is the money. The $263,871 will help her playing professional tennis for about 1.5 years. Now she can pay a staff in tournaments and improve her chances with better environment, etc. Disregarding some bad comments here, she has proven to defeat some top 100 players and that is a great feature. If you play tennis yourself, you know how difficult it is to make a certain level like entering national rankings. And imagine how difficult it is to make the ATP or WTA. Anybody in these rankings is a special athlete. We're just used to only watch like the planet's top 70 players and chose to like only 3 or 4 of them. We should respect the others, too. And making a grand slam tournament is amazing. And Lys didn't only participate, she won 2 matches in Qualifiers and 3 (!!!!) in the main draw. Losing to player that already has 5 slams and 125 weeks as the no. 1 of the world is not embarrassing at all. And in tennis the difference in level gets way more obvious than in some other sports. Plus: There are only like 5 to 10 players that can defeat Swiatek when she delivers her average level. And Swiatek played better than her average.

I think it will be more difficult from QF, Navarro will be tired, but still she will play better than Lys or Raducanu. In SF it’s going to be Svitolina or Keys, in the final it may be also Gauff or Badosa (honestly i think it’s going to be Sabalenka or Gauff) Whoever she will play, the finals will be tougher

I don't know how Eva was able to advance to this point. She reminds me of the kind of tennis 🎾 that was played in the 70s and 80s.
