Coco you need to fix your confidence in your forehand and second serve. You could have punished Leyla's pitiful second serve and won the first set 6-0. Yet you stayed so far behind the baseline and were hoping she makes a mistake. Your retains were short and in the middle of the court. The coming opponents have forehands to punish lack of initiative. The good news is you've beaten the best of them recently. Just go back to the Coco who won the WTA Finals and United Cup. Remove the demon of doubt.

Gauff doesn't even need to aim for the corners. She can simply hit straight at the opponent, and still win the point.

Actually, Gauff's backhand is even stronger. She rarely misses it.
