@@Will-sv9mf Pog is amazing indeed, and it's fun when he does crazy things like here or when he and Thomas almost won a sprint stage by surprising the peloton. But he had no adversary close to him in this Giro. He totally dominated. Hopefully Roglic can give him and Vingegaard some challenge at the Tour.
@Will-sv9mf

@@MVProfits he dominated like no one since Merckx has done. I don’t understand how that’s not exciting? He’s always attacking and there’s very little of the sky style race shutdown. The best rider has always won the race

Tim Merlier is the most intelligent and strategic sprinter in the world nowadays. He doesn't have the power of Milan or Groves but he definitely has calmness and a much more refined strategic sense than others. Absolutely fantastic!

Wel yes. It's the one who is forst on the line who wins. If you can generate high speed, you have a high chance. The awnser is either just more power for more speed, or more aerodynamics, which can be you who is more aero, or smart drafting. It's the latter that Merlier does.

This sprint win by Tim Merlier shows how experience in a fairly non prestigious race (Nokere Koerse) can lead to victory in a Giro Sprint stage. That was an absolutely wonderful sprint. Started his sprint on the smooth pavement while Milan had to start his on the rough cobbles. Great tactic and I think would have work even if Milan did not have to chase back on. It was so unexpected. Also the way he brushed him off his wheel was wonderful to go back and watch as well. Fantastic and why I love watching cycling. The little things do matter a lot.
