Watching this after 2024 Olympic final. Man this French team has grown SOOOO much. That year they were a dark horse at best, with no real super star on the team. That was the tournament when they made their names. Look at them now, an all-star team, playing impeccably on the biggest stage in the world. So happy for them.

Clevenot's reception was one of the best,his receptions made Brizzard to execute an excellent sets, though Poland was not an easy and formidable opponent...Poland's downfall was their blocking and defense and they were inconsistent in the final set....

I remember that match very well. It was midnight here in South America, but I wanted to watch the world champions Poland. I knew France had barely got a place in the quarterfinals, so I thought Poland would easily win. It was an amazing match, but I can't understand to this day what happened to Leon and his team in the last set. From the first moments it was as if they thought they had already been defeated! Anyway, I was amazed by team France and ever since then I'm their fan. I'm glad they won a well desserved second olympic gold medal!

Do dziś mnie zastanawia jakim cudem w 2018 wygraliśmy mistrzostwo świata z tym siwym bajerantem na ławce. W Tokio już nie przeszło wygranie poważnego meczu z poważnym rywalem grając Kubiakiem który ledwo się odrywał od ziemi, nie przygotowując zmienników do tej roli. Zawalił nam Igrzyska. Gdyby nie genialni Kurek i Leon w tym meczu dostalibyśmy szybkie 0:3.
