@gypsy Anything written in English you need to be careful. Even the prices can be higher on the English menu. If you can check the prices in the local language do so. I don't understand why anyone would eat their home countries food when they travel. Food to me is part of the experience.

In Portugal the eateries put bread/rolls and butter on table and charge for it if diner takes it. In USA bread is implied to be free. I guess it’s a cultural thing not necessarily a scam. Taxis, Souvenir shops and money exchange places definitely rip off tourists

I can see why the last deleted scene was cut out from the final production. the years of the Americans touring in France where incorrect by a few. George S Patton the General of the US Army was suppose to ditch the restaurant the summer of 1944 not 1945 after the Invasion of Normandy to continue his mission to Nazi Germany. Jim Morrison (Vocalist of The Doors) was suppose to ditch the restaurant in 1971 not 1969 while finding his girlfriend in a hotel they rented til he dies. The USA men's soccer team was suppose to ditch the restaurant in 1998 not 1996; since the national team was qualified for the FIFA World Cup tournament that had been hosted in France 1998. Alexi Lalas & Cobi Jones should have been in that cameo.
