My journey (driving a coach) from England (Folkestone) to France (Calais) via the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle vehicle carrying train, in timelapse from dashcam.
Route: M20 motorway, check-in kiosks, terminal building, UK border control and security check, French border control, lane allocation kiosk, onto the train, through tunnel on train, off the train, exit roads, A16 autoroute.

The first time I went on a Euro tunnel train was a school trip to France in these bigger carriages for coaches, we were allowed out, it was so weird being in there with the coach. The second time I went was to Calais with family, the cars without anything big on their roof go into two level carriages, it’s pretty cool. The lorries go on open carriages with just a metal frame/cage criss-crossed on the sides and the drivers travel in a passenger carriage.

Yes, though there is no where to go really. There are toilets and a bit of space to stretch your legs if you wish. The journey only takes 35 minutes, so it is no hardship. The train broadcasts its own radio service which you can listen to on your car radio. It has a number of channels to choose from.

I remember our school’s coach was checked and the people weren’t happy with the coach, so we had to wait at least three hours to get a result on the coach, then get the result so that we had to wait for another coach to come. It took 11 hours for the other coach to come. Yes, that’s right, we were waiting in that little park with the benches and the wooden fence for ELEVEN HOURS. Hey, at least we got Burger King for dinner anyway.
