Eurovision 2024, but national selection SECOND PLACES won

A long season of national finals has come to an end and we almost have all the songs competing in Eurovision 2024. The city of Malmö in Sweden is ready to host all the winners from each country, but... what if the people and the juries voted in a slightly different way and songs that finished as runner up, won instead? From Melodifestivalen to Sanremo, Eesti Laul to Benidorm Fest, Festival da Cancao to Festivali i kenges, Melody Grand Prix to Germany 0 points... Let's see how ESC 24 would look and sound like if national final second places had won instead of the actual winner.

Medina's song was generic as well, take 10 randomic football songs and mix them together with a couple of reggaeshit songs and you have it. You wanted them just because they were singing in Swedish (and a couple more Spanish words because cultural appropriation is never enough 😊)

I'm not sure this is much help, but at 4:08 there is a very minor typo, it should be "Cuarteto de cuerda" no "Cuerteto de cuerda". Just so you know, in case you intend to edit this video or whatever. (St. Pedro was my winner, so sad he didn't get to go to Malmö). BTW, I'm trying to find if you had a favorites video about BenidormFest, but can't seem to see one. If you do have one, could you please give me the link? TY

I'd love it if I could properly edit the videos once they've been uploaded, but unfortunately I can't. On the second topic however, no, I didn't react to Benidorm Fest this year and I didn't really follow it either. I'm kind of thinking about moving away from reaction vids a bit, but we'll see.

I really like most of the internally selected songs - and I'm very curious for Electric Fields' performance! "One Milkali" is a ray of sunshine, they seem to have fun on stage and, given Zaachariaha's outfit choices, I expect him to look like a queen :) For Poland, picking Justyna Steczkowska would mean we could get into top 10 at least. But our national broadcaster is broke and in the state of liquidation, so they probably didn't want to risk winning. She lost to Luna by 1 point given by the jury, and one juror (working for the broadcatster) didn't give Justyna any points, although she was actually people's favourite. "The Tower" is not a bad song, but also more suitable for radio. My choices for Germany and Serbia would be third places, though. I like "Always on the Run" but it's a radio song and not something that you should send to Eurovision - Ryk was more likely to score high. "Ramonda" is a nice ballad, but my heart is with Zorja - powerful voice, majestic performance, giving me goosebumps.

Although Luna for Poland isn't anything groundbraking, I like it a lot more than Justyna, whose song would be in my bottom 3 without a question. "The Tower" is actually an earworm that I can't get out of my head from time to time. Isaak for Germany is in the same category - radio friendly, immediately accessible, but not too interesting and might get lost. Serbia is decent, but there are ballads I like more this year.

@@EpixEurovisionGuy Thank you for liking "The Tower" so much, it is catchy indeed. We do love our Witcher stuff though and are angry at a corrupt jury. Unfortunately, Luna is getting some hate because of that, as if it was her fault (she has wealthy parents so they probably paid for her going to ESC and other such bullshit). She also flopped vocally on Melfest WKND and people are already saying that we are once again sending someone who can't sing. Very hurtful and unjust words. I wish her the best and hope that she will prove the haters wrong.

I consider Eurovision a competition for songs more so than artists. X-factor, The Voice etc are meant for that. In the case of Poland, it was an internal selection, but we know the results and other songs and the selection was for the entire package - song and artist. Israel picked the song internally.

I think both Ollie and 5miinust would have/will qualify to the final. Ollie's jury score would've been better, but 5miinust might stand out more and get a better result overall. But really, it is a huge hit in Estonia and we finally have a song in Estonian again + a traditional dance andinstrument.
