Je respecte absolument ton opinion, la Suisse était peut-être plus dans l'air du temps et bravo à elle. Cependant l'enjeu pour nous ce soir là était bien au-delà de la musique. Slimane a montré au monde entier que la France et le peuple français n'ont rien à voir avec les "monstres" qui nous gouverne, nous sommes un peuple râleur certes, mais où l'amour est notre moteur. Slimane est notre unique gagnant, simple, humble, et beau, il nous aime et nous l'aimons tout simplement. Il a dans sa voix et dans et dans son coeur quelque chose que les autres n'ont pas, l'émotion qui nous transperce jusqu'au larmes. Oui ce soir Slimane est sans conteste le meilleur, on est fier de lui !

He was winner for me. For me, the point of these 3 minutes at Eurovision is that the musician, the singer convinces me to believe him. With voice, with facial expressions. Yes, musically, this song is pretty classic and nothing new, but it gives me something that stays with me.

Eurovision ce n'est plus ce que c'était. Maintenant les gens votent non plus pour une performance vocale mais en fonction d'une orientation sexuelle, de la situation politique d'un pays, ou juste un show plein d'artifices. Totally agree. Stage performance is something else but music is music and we listen to it not watch it. In the end while listening to music we don't have a live show we have only the sound. The others are nothing compared to france's performance after you remove the scene performance. As a Turk I voted for france from Turkey.

His voice was impressive to say the least. Although correction, we do indeed hear him through the microphone (even the live audience) during that walk back, otherwise it would be impossible just by the nature of that venue being full of people that you heard anything if the mic weren't picking up. Still nothing short of an amazing performance.

After Barbara Pravi (2nd) (but one of her composition won the Junior Eurovision !), Slimane is the second french artist who delivered the song without off-range part.. The result is here.. 4th... Of course, this year, again, was marked by an international conflict between 2 countries and the national jurys seem to have take part in this conflict by selecting a "neutral" country : Switzerland. Not that "The code" was not good, but comparing the 2 singers abilities.... Slimane is far more talented.

I am sorry its not my kind of music also but its supposed to be a song and a singer contest. The melody of the song seems simple, but the harmonies are very subtiles. And concerning the singer, there is not another voice like that in the contest so the winner should be him
