I was there watching this live and LOVED their show. The audience went totally crazy for this. The biggest applauses and screams. One also has to appreciate the difficult camera angles they made to this as to hide he has no pants. I know the juries wont like this even tough the UK jury gave this 12 points😄 But Windows95man will bring so much fun and joy to Eurovisions. I'm really happy we are sending this🇫🇮❤️

haha, this is a banger, my guilty pleasure from Finland this year! has probably accounted for a couple of hundred plays in recent weeks. My favorite was Cyan Kicks, Windows95man at number 2. But listened to the live performance about 30 minutes ago after work, they have a job to do vocalwise before the semi, that's for sure 🎊 Its craazyy its paaartyy🤣🎤 Love from Norway 🇳🇴

There's a very beautiful message in this song and the song is a great eurodance song. I love this because this is typical Eurovision. The type of stuff youve never seen before and will never see anywhere else. Thats why im really glad the televote isnt scrapped like you said and its not just the jury because they tend to go for the ''safest'' songs. Respectfully i will say that good vocals is just not what Eurovision is about anymore and i dont mind that because there are so many contests out there focussed on vocals. It definitely does not take away from Saras amazing voice for sure, she will be thriving either way

With Sara what threw me with her live performance (along with the one I heard from rehearsals) was that her backing track in the chorus sounded really off key vs. her voice - Unlike in the song. With windows95 his performance was way more forgiving when compared to a technically skilled vocalist. Also this performance was the only one that made me focus from the chatter with my friends and laugh - Not sure the humor will reach all of Eurovision audience but ah well :)

Sara didn't sing the best and her song would have given Finland a good jury result with a questionable televoting result but you cannot admit No Rules is crazy and Party. It represents Finland PERFECTLY with their music scene. The FInnish chose this, not the jury. This is what the people wanted. It's interesting you said this wasn't gonna be your favourite but give it a chance! And you yourself remind me of Henri, the lead singer with his flamboyancy.

90s eurodance is big in Finland. Sorry. There isn't song/genre that everyone will love. I never understand people who say "omg outdated" Different music for different times, I think all music is timeless. It doesn't get "outdated" you might not like everything but yeah. And we've been kicked down when sent ballads (Blackbird and När Jag Blundar for example) Sara's song is great and i am rather surprised she didn't win. Her song will be hit for sure Saw her rehersal live and final live, her rehersal was much better. Her staging was great. Will it do well? Teles yes. Jury no. I personally think that while majority this year UMK songs were great, none were winner material. I'd say Sara, CK and this would be 10-20 placement in final.

I think there was something wrong with the audiomix on the Finnish broadcast. Sara didn’t sound great. W95man’s performance didn’t suffer from that because the performance was not based on great vocals.

It was not just the mixing from the broadcast. I was in the live audiense and the first half of the song Sara had really hard time to stay in bitch, she was so nervous. And the staging was so dark. And few of my friends with migrane issues were not a fan of those flashing lights at all.

There were problems w voting. Lot of people did not get their votes in so that was disappointing too. I voted Sara. To be honest, she was not as great as she really could have been and really is vocally. In rehersal she had been great. It will stay as my favourite ❤ I also like 95 and can hear myself listening it especially during summer. I like Henry's vocals; however, I am not a fan of this humor. I listen not watch in this case. 😅 Fanmemory about the shorts. We used to wear them in the early 90's in Finland. I was an exchangestudent in 91 in FL. I was send home from school due to my too short denimshorts and my hostma did not allow me to leave the house w them ever after seeing them that day. Could not understand it at all. We all wore them at school in Finland and I had interrailed all over Europe w them along w my white tennissocks 😅

If you want to know, why W95M won, I think there are two main reasons. First, it seems, that many people in Finland felt, that Sara Siipola didn't quite succeed in the live performance, but W95M exceeded expectations. Second, we are living dark times, and people need some joy and fun, not more darkness.

In studio, I think my top 3 were (in order) Sara, Sexmane, and Jessie. But then the lives happened and all of their stagings were so dark. You could hardly see anything, the lighting was so bad. So by the end of it my top 3 changed to Windows95man, Cyan Kicks, Sara (in that order). But I suppose the only song in UMK I hadn't thought was that great this year was Sini Sabotage's. So it was a little easier for me to rearrange my top than it was for people that had a much clearer favorite.

Hey Jordan, yeah I'm with you on this one... We all have to remember that ESC has two kinds of viewers - those who love great songs, and those who enjoy camp, wacky entertainment. You and I are the former and I do kinda despair of the latter. This year seems to be silly season. We are twelve songs in but I've yet to find a finalist that I'm playing on repeat.. There are a few nice songs that I wouldn't skip on a playlist - but I'm absolutely not wowed by any of the finalists so far. I have a few playlist faves this year, but far, far fewer than usual for this stage in the contest - Dos Extranos, Paskana, Luktelk have all been on repeat. I just hope Lithuania chooses wisely. Damn, ESC 2024 needs some GOOD songs!

I changed my mind totally after listen Windows95Man show couple times. That was a shock at first for me too though I did not wish that gloomey song sung by Sara win either. I supported Cyan Kicks or Jesse Markin victory. Anyway, I am sure voting for Windows95Man was the best choice for Finns. This year there are lot of female vocalists in the competition and Sara wouldn't have stood out from them. It's not the first time there has been something like this in competition, forexample Some Ukrainians have compared Windows95Man to their Verka Serduchka who came second 2007. Even Swedish have commented and complained why they never dare to send something different and fun like Finland does but they always play the safe. Jordan you are an American. You do not quite understand that ESC is not a Grammy gala or X- Factor or Idols etc. European Song Contest is for all kinds of music not only for pop or ballads. Also as an American you do not understand what is the situation here in Europe. There is enough gloom here in Europe at the moment there is no need gloomy " Oh I want to hang myself " -songs. Eurovision Song Contest is a party not a church.

it was Saturday evening, people were in a party mood, the show itself was upbeat and funny,... Things were set up for Windows95man to win. Who knows how the voting would have gone the morning after. Sara's performance, especially the staging, didn't capture that same feeling as her video does. They staged a figurative speech sentence from the lyrics into an actual planetary presentation to the stage, which felt campy. It didn't really portray that she felt alone, hurting and disconnected with the people and life around him. There's not even internet connection in space. On top she herself made the sun rotate around her/the earth turn just as she sang, that she doesn't understand how the earth can just keep on rotating while she's an emotional wreck. The way the camera rotated during Katri Helena's performance, and showed her surrounded and in focus of the audience, made me wish they would have staged something similar for Sara. Just instead of being connected with the audience, show her hurting and being disconnected with all the people and life around her.

I get frustrated with people who only want the serious entries, and people who only want the novelty ones. Eurovision is both. That being said, I didn't vote for this. Sara, Jessie and Sexmane were the best, but none of them floored me. Jesse said he wouldn't go to Malmö anyway, because Israel is allowed to participate. I'm mildly disappointed Sara didn't win, her staging needed different color palette at minimum. Hopefully there'll be a more interesting selection next year, this year it is what it is.

Let me just I love the 50/50 split in the Eurovision final 💀 I've never been a fan of joke entries, well, at least most of them. Some still have the right degree of quality, look at Moldova 2022 for example, great entry and performance! However, this one is way too much for me and shows me why I'm rly not a fan of the televoting 💀Although we still need the 50/50 split. Even though I don't like the televoting, juries shouldn't have more power. Congrats to Windows95man! They won fair and square. I just question the broadcaster's choice to use a 25/75 split (and also, I don't like it when televote is calculated by the percentage of votes, because this gives televote winners wayyyyyy more power lmaoo, look at LotL and Ikke Hüftgold dominating televoting) I'm happy I'm not the only one who doesn't love this 💀 But as I said, they won fair, it's the people's choice and if they want this to go to Eurovision, they want this to go to Eurovision :) Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of UMK 2024 tbh, tho I also liked Sara's performance and song the most. I'm devistated. I didn't like windows95man yesterday, today (after watching umk) i dislike this. It was so messy and not even funny. I thought I was gonna vote for cyan kicks, but I ended up voting for sexmane. He was my least favorite before seeing his live performance. I don't know if its because I had so low expectations, but i just loved his rough voice live, his pressence and how the over all live show elevated the song. To me he showed star quality that no other performer deliverd tonight. But I would have been pleased with Sara or Cyan Kicks as well. But now I will go pull a blanket over my head and go into hybernation untill next year.
