Eurovision 2025 - Greece - My Top 12

Will it be Evangelia or Klavdia that will top my top 12 from Greece ? Or someone completely different.

First and foremost I am happy that Greek National Final is back! My clear favorite is your # 3: Barbz (aka Barbara Argyrou, a Greek-American singer and songwriter currently active in Athens and Berlin), her entry is really addictive for me. Next comes another Greek-American, Xannova Xan, who has already represented Greece in JESC 2005 as Kalli (6th place, best result for Greece in JESC). Her song is very catchy and uplifting, the most banger-ish of all! My 3d place goes to Nafsika, a strong ballad reminiscent of the 90s (e.g. Toni Braxton), with Odyssey a close 4th (this is the limit of ethnic vibes I can take lol). I am aware of the fact that Klavdia (a Voice of Greece finalist) and Evangelia (the 3d and most famous Greek-American of the bunch, with top hits in Greece, duets with Eleni Foureira and so on) are the 2 big favorites of both Greek and non-Greek fans, but tbh I cannot really connect to either of them for different reasons in each case: Evangelia's song is closer to the stuff I like but I find it a little bit messy in its endeavor to mix various genres and thus appeal to a broad range of musical tastes. On the other hand, Asteromata is a much more coherent composition, both musically and linguistically, but I just ain't into this kind of music, although I appreciate the effort of its composers to "modernize" the traditional style by adding techno-electro beats (a little bit similar to Go-A from Ukraine). Thanks a lot once more for your beautiful videos! (As for the other 6 entries, for me they are just there, I don't really dislike them but I don't like them either, with the possible exception of Andy Nicholas whose song does something for me in comparison to the other 5.)

Tempo is not always the point. Klavdia this year, a pure Greek representation in contrast to the football anthem. None of the 12 songs can be ESC winner.

That’s very true, it’s down to personal preference, They might not win ESC but could get a decent result .
