I feel so disconnected from the rest of the fandom this year. I love Spain's choice, Belgium is great and Luxembourg is really fun. I don't understand the hype for Albania, cool singer and instrumentals but too experimental and low-key weird Greece is just a great ballad, nothing more. Montenegro and Slovenia are kinda boring.

That's mostly the problem with people not in tune with ballads and folk songs. I like them because the emotions they portray is raw rather than energetic (for Albania, it's both, that's why I like it so much) as well as synced to their culture (again, Albania, I just like when countries represent their language and style), it all coalesces to feel like it directly comes from the heart. But I understand where you're coming from, it's just that, personally, you don't need a crowd to holler for it to make a great song. No hate to you tho!

I did not care about Zjerm much at first, until it won FiK Then it captured me with its magic and at this point its easily one of the strongest eurovision songs of all time to me and almost definetly my #1 for the rest of this season. its kinda hard to put into words, but this song and its lyrics and meaning pretty much encapsulates everything I love about music But not everything clicks for everyone and thats fair

@@ClobberClubbers The crazy thing is that I used to be more into ballads years ago. I don't know... I'm from Portugal and maybe the excessive amount of slow songs my country delivers every year made me feel a bit sick of it? I'm also not gonna lie that recently I just look at eurovision to have fun and entertainment and forget about life. Also being almost 30 I'm starting to feel a bit nostalgic for the 2000s 😅

belgium has much stronger melodies and hooks than norway, despite the similar genres. also norway is usually very strong, so this year is a disappointment and therefore is seen more negatively.

I feel like Nataleen has a stronger song than Kyle Alessandro. I honestly love both their songs but when Kyle says lighter it sounds SO similar to TALI from 2024.

Same thing with MGP but an anthesis Or it could be mass difference in opinion cuz I think the hooks of Lighter and The Game are good. Alessandro's voice-high-pitched syllables-and Nateleen's deep, and I'd say "medieval," tone makes them really standout.
