Instagram loved it and if they didn't they were really polite about not liking it. I wasn't really a fan of the 2019 song but I loved them as a duo and have followed them since. My favourite things they've done were the duet with Keiino and their reworking of From Little Things (that was so heartfelt). I've been finding lots of reaction videos and it's gone from mediocre to two Norwegian girls who think it's the quieter-calm moment that this year's Eurovision cohort needed and might be the dark horse of the competition. In the more recent ones there have been comments that it reminds them of Gustaph - some it was the sound but for others it was because it made them smile. Craig and I talked about this year needing a song like that (and of course i said it was why I hoped it wouldn't be Electric Fields this time because they'd get lost in the field as they would be more high drama). My first listen and I really thought it went nowhere, didn't make enough of Zaachariaha Fielding's amazing voice and while I liked it, it had no business in Eurovision. But then I listened to it in the car and heard the nuances, watched the ABC breakfast interview about where the song's title came from and that Zaachariaha would be using his day job as a visual artist and bringing that to the stage. I talked to a young Indigenous friend about this sort of representation. A song with parts actually in language. I listened to the music under it, which is so clever. In the end it grew on me and those are the songs I end up loving forever. The ones that are nuanced and not immediately revealed.

Hello Australia, on first listen I was so pleased and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is top 3 for me immediately - so much more listenable, so much more melodic than the vast majority of entries this year. 12 pt greetings from Norway 🇳🇴

Last year, that would be amazing . This year is just not enough in my opinion 😊 I don't see Europe connecting with that song. But we know Australia always brings amazing staging so anything is possible. We love Australia and we definitely wanna see them in contest....Music video is ridiculous. U not waiting so long and present this...let's not be delusional

Yes we cannot judge based on a lyric video it all comes down to the actual live staging and how they will execute it especially in a chaos-competitive semi-final.

It reminds me of "Birth of a New Age" by Jeangü Macrooy (NED 2021) Which I totally loved. This is a really great song/production, but it feels more like a great interval act track than a competitive entry. Still Australia should be proud to send stuff like this.

All I can say is Electric Fields on stage is hypnotizing and this will be transmitted to Europe when they reveal their final performance. Zaachariaha said on the most recent interview they will have some of her visual art as part of the show. So this is promising and I have a good feeling about it!

Electric Fields song feels like an honest song and that tends to be somthing that is appriciated. Either people vote for clickbait, honest or bops and this is a typical honest song. If you get two of those in one song with a good voice you have a winner. I think that is why Loreen won last year with an honest performance, bop and a good voice.

I was getting so hyped I couldn't even recall how many entries were at Liverpool 🤣 think it stands my point, 40th place? 30th place? 50th place? Either way it wasn't a resounding Top 10.

I so hope they’ll bring a didgeridoo in Malmo! That will arouse the audience votes a wee bit

Having voyager at 40/37 would be impressive. They have always been in my top 10 for 2022 but I'm also the person who had neither Finland nor Sweden in my top 10 so my taste is nor a good representative of eurovision

Not winning in 2019 was a blessing in disguise for them - 5 years later and their live performance is 1000% improved. This will go off in the stadium, and the Australian songs of the last years have been counting on it (the audience for Kate Miller-Heidke ruined the illusion, so SBS have learned from it)

Everyone keeps comparing this song with 2000 and Whatever. I’m telling you 99.9 % of Europeans will have never heard of that song let alone Electric Fields. This reminds me of Gustaph from Belgium last year. He had so much hate directed towards him and his song in the beginning and look what happened - 7th place. These guys will lift with their staging and live performance and will do well .... Good luck Australia! 🎉😊❤

The fact that Australia doesn't bring a winner song is such a letdown. It's just an okay song and definitely in danger in semi 1.

Such a great and unique entry from Australia, this is truly Australian music. Electric fields have done an incredible job bringing an unknown performance to represent their country! I bet the live performance will be great!!

Hello from 🇨🇵 ! I don't know this group and have never heard what they've done before but I do love this song. It's very different from the classic swedish europop we have (and like) here. The didjeridoo is such a great idea. This song is in my playlist and I will support it ! 😊

A barking dog might grab your initial attention, but the quiet one off to the side is often the real threat. I'll wait to see.😊

The video is simple, elegant, they are being unashamedly Austtalian and themselves. Europe has said, We will never win Eurovision. So we are in a competition that is bias. Electric Fields is taking on the bias, snd talking about getting passed them. Its very this is us, this is the song, this is the song genuine and not fake. Its the video clip that Europe and the online community deserves and needs. Its also our beautiful calm reminding us of home where we belong. The beauty is it makes people focus on the song. Take No Worries Mate as the way through and just end the concerns and enjoy the experience. Be happy without worries in every moment, its our happy place and support our artist sent and nation taking on Europe, with something they don't have, No worries, Mate.

I love the representation of our culture through indigenous language and instrumentation. I think this song would get talked about more in a year that isn't as strong as this year. Our semi is extremely tough and I don't expect us to finish say top 7 in the semi but I always have confidence in our ability to stage and feel like we may scrape through
