Forget the colours on the flags, forget their names, forget the performers' names...PURELY based on the journey She took us all through; honestly, I literally cried the first time I heard the song, and I just heard it yesterday. And I'm listening to it on a loop and the EP is not as powerful as this official video where she lets us feel all the different emotions, sadness, pity, power, overwhelmed. And O don't understand a word she says, but I felt it. It's been a long time since a performance like that has had this kind of effect on me. Now, I've been through all of her content, fallen in love with her. And this is by far the best song of hers that I Love, ofcourse her other content is good too, but can't understand a word so, not sure if I fully grasp the emotion of the songs. But, nevertheless, this, on the contrary, was a roller coaster ride I would love to be on everyday. IT WAS JUST MAGICAL. And just like you, I wanted her to win. I connected with your reaction too because I felt the same way. Anyway, it's been a looongass comment, never have I ever typed this much on KZbin. I guess that's the effect BARBARA had on me. Your reaction is so pure and sincere. It's great to see you feeling it without even understanding all the lyrics. The song tells her story (and she wrote it with a friend of her) : she tried but failed to be a singer so she wrote songs for other already famous singers in France, but with this song she steps out of the shadow and presents fully herslef to the public saying "Voilà qui je suis"/"Here I am, this is me, take it or leave it", begging us to love her. I adore her. She made other songs, including songs released on the International Women's Day dealing with women's right issues (I'm obsessed with "Chair" which means "flesh" and is about abortion) and she is about to release an album in september. Love from France.

What was offensive? If you find nasty ethnic stereotypes funny and feel amused when you're being mocked, go ahead and laugh, give positive feedback. The opposite range of feelings is just as valid and worthy of respect. If YOU don't understand why they feel insulted or offended or upset, doesn't mean they are "wrong" or ignorant or fanatics or retarded. Many different perceptions, all valid. Yours is not "the right one". To dismiss how other people feel is wrong on so many levels. That said, I am frankly sick and tired of people talking shit about Italy and Italians but everything else is off limits.

I followed Eurovision closely including through livestreams and stuffs weeks before the final and that doesn’t surprise me. Maneskin already had a solid fanbase before Eurovision, and their fans often showed little to no respect towards other contestants and their supporters in chats etc. Still loved Maneskin though 👌🏻🇮🇹

@@lbfchannel2385 I am not even a Maneskin's fan, I am perfecty fine with the fact that she likes Barbara's Pravi song better than Zitti e buoni. But I honestly do not like when people make fun of the Italian accent or portray Italy in a negative stereotypical way... I find it profoundly disrespectful. That's what I pointed out and got labelled as a "hate comment" even though it was not disrespectful. Fine, I can live with that. I am an adult and I do not like to drag things and blow them out of proportion. Do you think that standing up for not being mocked as a nation is hating? Fine, no problem. I'll do it anyway until we get the same respect as all other countries. I cannot see any disparaging comments on France and the French in this video and I am very happy for that, I just wished it had been the same on the videos about Italy. Stereotypes are toxic, no matter who the target is. I suppose that being "kind" to one another should apply to everybody...

@@mimmiblu6138 Oh it’s my first time watching a video from this channel, I don’t know anything about offensive imitations of an Italian accent or mockery of Italy’s nation as a whole... I totally agree it’s disrespectful obviously. I’m only responding to the fact it’s not surprising bad reactions are linked to something related to Maneskin because their fans tend to be so devoted to them and… intense. I experienced it firsthand 🥲 But of course, mocking Italians is absolutely not okay no matter what 🙅🏻‍♀️

Unfortunately there are toxic people everywhere and I've been really appalled by some comments made by Italians... almost insults for no reason or rude comments directed to whole nations. She was great but not unique, watch Duncan Lawrence, winner of 2019, Salvador Sobral, winner of 2017, also the second place Kostov from Bulgaria, very captivating solo singer, but Maneskin were unique and a proper response for what we are experiencing right now.
