Nemo broke the record for most 12 points received by the jury (22 times). I believe Portugal is second with 18 times in 2017. Also i thought it was adorable how Greece and Switzerland gave eachother 12 points and both Marina and Nemo were so happy. Love their friendship :)

@@petarpero958 I would disagree. The song mixed Rap, Opera and Drum and Bass. Something i don't think we've seen yet from an ESC entry. The vocal performance was top tier, especially considering Nemo sprinting around that stage, still managing to sound completely stable (something we've seen other participants struggle with). The Lyrics were also very meaningful and the overall performance was creative and well executed so im not at all surprised the Jury loved it.

@@michellehawk282 I agree with your depiction of the song, but still it isn't that much above the rest. The number of 12ies would suggest it's the best song in history of ESC, and we know it is not. Even abba and Beatles wouldn't get that much.

@@petarpero958 Somehow you're reading too much conspiracy into it. It was not the task of this year's jury to compare with any other song than the competing ones. And by ranking songs, it doesn't mean any of the ranked songs has to be so much worse than others. I think you didn't understand how the voting actually works.

Salvador deserved the victory and won honestly. He was first in the votes of the jury and the people. But she won Metler to cheat. Cheated jury votes because in humans there were only 5. No one has ever won from such specific positions in humans. It was a fraud and he was the only one who won dishonestly. I don't count Metler among the winners

Portugal got 382 points from jury alone in 2017. and won overall with 758 points (the most anyone has ever received)

Don't forget that the points always changed in the Eurovision history (different voting systems, different amounts of participating countries). Portugal 2017 was pretty successful (77% of the most possible votes) and more successful than all the winners afterwards (Ukraine 2022 got 67% of the most possible votes despite the huge solidarity by the public), but there were 9 songs in Eurovision history that did even better. The most successful one was Luxembourg 1973 with more than 80% of the most possible votes. The most successful one since 2000 was Sweden 2015 (78% of the most possible votes).

Disappointed with winner 2017 but then i didnt see the opposition that year. That said it was nice to see Portugl do well. 2024 was probably the strongest year ever !

I remember watching you guys react to your first recomendation for Eurovision and how surprised you were at the quality, diversity and spectical of the various entries. To see you now on the edge of your seats hands gripped tight with aticipation and excitment like we all were is amazing. You are now truely Eurovision fans and will remaain so for the rest of your lives. The first contest i remember watching was 1973 from Luxemburg, who then won a second time. I've been hooked ever since.

Perrie performed today at Capital's Summertime Ball and performed a 3 song set which included 'Forget About Us', a cover of 'I Want To Dance With Somebody' and finally her new single 'Tears' which drops on Friday. I was shocked about Norway. I liked that one way better than Ireland for example. I didn't have a winner so I'm good with Switzerland winning. Nemo did a great performance and has a great voice.

The juries were very fair this year overall. I enjoy their ability to better appraise the songs and balance out the popular vote which is very political. They give a good mix of points across the board. Only major blip was 12 points from Israel to Luxembourg because the singer is Israeli. Even greece and Cyprus were reasonable 😆

You need to be in the Top10 to get a point. Not a single country had him in their Top10, so he got zero points. That doesn't mean that no person voted for him, it just wasn't enough to be Top10 anywhere.

@@MarusaTheBadKid yep, Israel was like " hey nothing we do in eurovision is political, we just love the music" Then proceed to give 12 to Luxembourg 🤣 and wrote lyrics that were 100% political and then had to change them 20 times until it was approved. I also think that the new rule to allow the rest of the world to vote was Israels idea too
