German entry "Two little italians" was a minor hit at the time. In Finland it was recorded with finnish lyrics by duo "Tuula ja Paula" (1962). German lyrics tell about two italian guest workers dreaming to meet their girlfriends.

First colour eurovision final was 1968. Expensive colour tv set was needed to receive colour broadcast. In Britain Colour TV sets outnumbered black-and-white sets 1976.

I love this song. Germany was in my top 5 sooooo many times during 50’s 60’s 70’s and early 80’s. Unfortunately, results wasn’t fear for your country, Germany. Honestly it’s clear now that Most of the juries unofficially boycotted German songs. Sad 😢
