This is not a typical Eurovision song. Personally, I think it is too good for this contest. The song takes a little time to sink in, but when it does, it stays with you :) A winning song in the Eurovision is a song you like instantly, and after three weeks you´re tired of it. I have the same experience when I buy a CD of an artist. The songs I like instantly, is also the songs I get tired of first. The songs that takes a little while to sink in, stays with me.

It won the Norwegian final. However, do you seriously think that this song deserved to win the international final? There were a lot of songs with higher quality than this. Even though I am Norwegian, I find this song pretty boring. In addition, his voice was not so good in ESC as it was in the Norwegian final (this video is from the Norwegian final).

It is a beautiful song and this young singer did a great job of singing it. It did not win in the voting because other member countries of Eurovision have bigger voting population than that of Norway. But the song, itself is beautiful and the singer is a great singer not to mention the fact that he is good-looking.
