I'm not using electric car but as of now I think the problems are 1 Charging station availability 2 Charging time when I used to travel long distance 3 Repair cost and mechanics who are all capable to repair other than show room 4 New car price 5 Resale value 6 Reliability (Since it's completely new for us, we can't ensure the reliability of the vehicle without crossing a decade of usage) 7 Range 8 Battery replacement cost all these needs to be addressed before promoting a car to the people.. Recently Nitin Gadkari viws to replace 36 crore petrol diesel vehicle with hybrid vehicles seems little scary for the customers

Vicky bro LFP battery is old new TECH is Sodium ion battery. Yes battery raw material is taken from.Salt vboth CATL, BYD is docking on this n Reliance n Tata r also working on this. Price will dramatically come down as Sodium is abundantly available n secondly v need not depend on china. India is pushing hard for Sodium ion batteries. Both Lithium n Sodium has same properties but Sodium will have little less acceleration.

I'm working in automotive field. The battery is half of the price of the vehicle. Even some company currently don't cover warranty on battery, only cover half and another half customer must pay. Before buy please ask particular about battery before buy any EV'S. Still they digging earth for the elements doesn't make difference much from petroleum. Even rare earth elements also damaging eco system. They gonna have huge problem when comes to dispose that much of used or spoiled battery. That also gonna be huge mess. An only company I appreciate is Toyota who doesn't follow blindly on EV'S like other company instead going after water and hydrogen engines
