EVA | 787 Business Class | Best seat in Asia?

Having not booked an amazing deal over a year ago we decided to try EVA Boeing 787-9 Business Class and we were shocked and amazed by the product! We must do this again.

Nice review of the Eva Air business product on the Hong Kong/Taipei flight! Back in 2019 I did the same route on China Airlines in economy with both the Boeing 737 & Boeing 747.

@@liftoffandtravel KLM did kindly donate a Boeing 747-200 to the Leylstad Aviodrome, my first flight to the USA was on a KLM 747-400.

no window shades?? i've been in planes before where there was the option to artificially dim the windows but if the sun is ever caught in your eye, good luck buddy. so uncomfortable shifting around ever so slightly to escape the sun in your eyes.

Interestingly we just flew Turkish on the 787 and it's the first time and I suddenly realised a 12 year old was staring at me. Sinking in to my seat he suddenly appeared next to me so I removed my headphones and he asked "is it possible to make it darker the sun is blinding me" 😂☀️ Either way I do love that on the 787 you can dim them without loosing the view. Downside the chain crew sometimes over ride them when you want to see out.

Nice review. I'm looking forward to trying this product from BKK to TPE this spring. Pity that flight is only 3.5 hours. BTW, I've done the TPE-BKK route in EVA economy on the 787. Pretty nice for a short haul flight. My only suggestion would be to bring your own headphones. The airline supplied earbuds are very fragile.

Thanks for watching 👍👀 haha we know, it goes way too quick. What food did you get in economy? Haha headphones, we had this recently Qatars are really good but they didn't hug your ears. So you get a choice between slightly struggle to hear or increase the column.

@@liftoffandtravel Looking back it was a pork and rice dish. A bit overly sweet. It was that or an omelet as it was a morning flight. I wasn't in the mood for airplane eggs. After Bangkok the plane went on to Amsterdam.

I don’t think EVA is underrated (especially in Asia). EVA main competitor China Airlines (both hub in Taipei, Taiwan) is the underrated airline. Both airlines have good product and services. China airlines even have a cool callsign “Dynasty”

If you are in Asia it's a little different. Come over to Europe and the USA and because of advertising and the network everybody knows Emirates, Singapore and Qatar for example. I admit before finding that deal I didn't know EVA was an airline. So really just depends where you are based.

China Airlines is not that good

@@liftoffandtravel it’s the same in Asia. Both EVA and China airlines have less recognition that Sq, Emirates, and Qatar. However I think China airlines is more underated than EVA

@@taxol2 they are very clever with their advertising. Still stuck in my head Jennifer Aniston asking where the shower is and the realising it was a bad dream. EVA also don't have many routes to Europe. A shame really.

Thai long haul is not as good

Thai and EVA use the 777 on long haul routes and the product isn't as good as the 787. Hopefully they will update it 💺

Western breakfast are too heavy and unhealthy

Not necessarily, often it includes tomato, mushrooms and proteins which are all good for the diet. I've had continental breakfast before where I've been hungry soon after from the lack of protein.
