Don't buy gloves that are meant to keep the hands warm. Conventions are hot enough without adding on foam layers. Buy light weight, thin, cotton that's breathable! Paint before adding to the glove! Other than that, great job!

Hey just a quick question, does a hairdryer work when you need to apply heat to modify the EVA?

It really depends on what you want to build. If it's an armor, it's usually recommended to use low density(softer) eva foam, usually the 5mm one. If you want to make props, then you could use high density(harder) eva foam, usually from 5mm up. Foam can be 1mm thick but also like 5cm thick so make sure you know what you plan to do with it before you buy it because the thickness will definitely influence your result. Also, depending on where you live, foam can be expensive. In my case, I'm from Italy, and although 1mm foam(the one used to make the glove in the video)is super cheap and easy to buy here 5mm foam is very hard to get and I have to buy it online (where with shipping and taxes it ends up being pricey). I hope this helped
