I really like how Laura threw in questions to her guests. You can tell that she did her homework very well. Should I mention that she is not using que cards? Congrats! I am now a officially a fan.

this is how interviewers should do it. i came to watch the star, but amazed with the interviewer, its more than just asking the questions, the conncection is what its all about, this should be used as a teaching clip for a media related course

FUN FACT: Eva's Aunt is Annette Cauld who was in the original Broadway cast of the original production of MISS SAIGON. She was in the Ensemble and understudied (and later replaced) Lea Salonga as "Kim". Some of you might recognize Annette in the 90's as "Celina The Dance Teacher" on SESAME STREET.

I feel so bad saying this but (as a Swede who's been living in England) I have absolutely no idea who that lady (the interviewer) is but I love her style and of all the bits about the show (Miss Saigon) and Eva (what a performer, GOSH I love her) I've watched - this is def my favourite 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

this production was just spellbinding better than the original ... just adored it
@whatevergoesforme51296 жыл бұрын
Hmm, well for me, the original show, lyrics, and cast were a lot better. The new lyrics and the new song for Ellen did not make the storytelling that compelling and cohesive for me and for those who saw both the original and the revival like me. But if others like the revival better, I have no issue with it.

Is this the same interviewer who interviewed Lea Salonga? 😍😍😍
@meredithchandler73 Жыл бұрын
This interview has interviewed Lea Salonga - at least twice that I can remember: once for ALLEGIANCE along with George Takei and Telly Leung, and once when Lea's album Blurred Lines was about to come out or recently came out.

She has Filipino parents. So why didn't the parents teach her Tagalog/Filipino growing up. I don't get other Filipino parents in the U.S., they should teach their kids to stay connected to their roots. With some few exemptions...My cousins daughter is taught Kapampangan , Tagalog and English in their house and they live in California. Need to balance everything. Eva said...Tagalog is such a hard language to learn but many Tagalog words are actually Spanish in nature.
@jsprodonoff4 жыл бұрын
Sadly, that's a thing, though. I was born in the USA but my family is Brazilian and I've lived most of my life in Brazil. However, I have 3 cousins that have lived in the US since birth. Their mother is Brazillian, and their father is American. None of my cousins speak Portuguese, and I think that's really sad.
@IceCeeTV4 жыл бұрын
I think her mom is Mexican. I read it somewhere. That makes her half Filipino and half Latina.

Nobody can beat Leah's performance. Eva's voice is too pitchy.
@arleen1231006 жыл бұрын
Marie B you didn't even spell Lea's name right, and you know pitchy means singing off key right? I haven't seen one video of her signing pitchy so could you give me an example please?
@IceCeeTV4 жыл бұрын
@@arleen123100 maybe what Marty B meant Eva has a smaller voice spectrum but not pitchy.
@arleen1231004 жыл бұрын
Ice Cee TV yeah maybe but if you think about it, Lea is amazing at the mix sound and has a very beautiful voice where as Eva is much more bellty and has a more punchy voice (in a good way) so her voice spectrum is equally and if not larger than lea’s. Both are great but pitchy means out of tune and neither of them are!! X
