My daughter, a freshman in Monroe did not get out in time. What a way to start her freshman year is right. But President Fitts and his team took all the kids under his wing during the storm and put all of us parents on his back, as well. A wonderful community to be part of.

I’m from New Orleans . My entire family stayed during hurricane ida, but my boyfriend left to Houston with his family . You would think after Katerina experience everybody woulda left. Next time I will not stay for a hurricane . Ida was a horrible experience . It was soo hot. People was fighting and getting killed over gas . Funny part I work at a gas station. It was just horrible . Glad you evacuated safely.

Still can’t believe parts of New Orleans and Louisiana are still recovering. Just praying we’ll be spared in the future :/
