I have studied lore for ages. Taox is highly underrated. The traitor to the Osmium King, once his most loyal subject. Her betrayal is what left the Osmium daughters vulnerable to the Witness' influence. Being young, their father's familiar easily manipulated them, manipulated Sâthona, leading the creation of the hive. The destruction and subjugation of their once peaceful way of life. Hopefully, we can finally learn more about this traitorous being and everything related to it.

When you and your fireteam repetitively make minced meat of an enemy thats killed all the cool species you'd rather see in-game than read about. Seems like there's a wall between those who write the lore cards and those who write the main story. The lore cards have always been better than most of the main story. The lore cards alone would make a better game than what we often get. This is my opinion

While I certainly agree with you, I feel games suffer the same as movie adaptations of books. In a vast majority of the cases, books are better due to how easy it is to add subtle contexts via writing. Not saying it’s impossible obviously, but I feel like it explains why D2 lore is so much better in the codexes than in screen. Though, Witch Queen’s campaign story I felt was equal to lore tabs. They did such a great job there

I can't agree more. Did you know most of the supplementary lore was written primarily by one guy? All the philosophical nuance, religious undertones, and cutting edge science that has been woven into the lore was all his doing. Why he couldn't have also written the main narrative is beyond me. Instead we get the neverending Osiris/Saint love story, Nimbus cringe, and the questionable relationship between Crow and Mara.

In my opinion, the writing quality certainly has taken a nose dive in the last few years. TFS at least was mostly a return to form. I also adored the Witch Queen’s writing. They emphasized a lot of in game dialogue there though, which was key. Those “2 lies, 2 truths” are among the best writing of the franchise to me.

Taox is a fan favorite and I always wanted her to be the big bad of the Light and Dark Saga, the witness just being a darkness fan boy. She could still be a true minion of darkness. Advocate of the true winnower. Gaining some way to extend her life aside from cryo sleep

Who's to say she didn't? The Hive were just tools to the Witness, I doubt it would have told any of the three sisters where she was if it saw her as a possible tool as well.

It bugs me no end that Bungie are slowly killing off Destiny. The Lore is incredible, there's so much that has barely touched the game or not even been featured! At least with Sony owning them now there's a chance we might get a TV Series. A Cartoon would be easier, finding fitting actors to play major characters would be difficult. My wife likes Destiny Lore, she's said a few times when will there be a show!? My mates wife isn't interested in the game at all but has said she'd be down to watch a show about it!! It's RIGHT there!!
