Playing as one of the first Risen would actually make a good single-player survival action game. Make it like the Reach of Destiny, ending in them sacrificing themselves to raise the alarm about the Battle of Six Fronts or something.

Had an idea with a friend for a dungeon based around the 3 earth astronauts who first discovered the traveller. It’d all be kinetic weapon damage and you could fight aspects made by the traveller to see if we could wield the light. Then it could end with you sending back a transmission to Earth.

I always wondered how our gaurdians clothes and weapons stayed intact inbetween resurections, but that piece of lore that said that the cloth was also being stitched back together finally sort of answered that question. Still there are some questions like how does a ghost recreat a weapon like that taken shotgun from D1 or the weapons of sorrow.

for regular weapons those are just made of glimmer, so the ghosts can just rebuild those from blueprints and the pieces of the gun that are still laying around, but for legendary one of a kind guns I imagine there's some kind of emergency transmat that takes place, something like that

Anything can be fully replicated in the destiny universe, that’s just how good their printing tech is. Non-guardian citizens likely wouldn’t ever go near a replicated dark magic weapon much less use them so I assume only guardians are even allowed to look at things like that.

To answer your question from the start of the video, metaphorically speaking, the Exos of Europa working under Elsie-1 and Banshee-1 through Banshee-43 were the first to wield resurrection as a weapon against the enemies of humanity. Thus, they were essentially the first, let's say... Proto-Guardians. Cool video about the earliest Lightbearers, though, great stuff. ^_^ Also I love the Constellations lore book, one of my absolute favorites in the entire game, so incredible.

I don't think that counts as resurrection, imo. They're not "coming back from the dead," they're just having their memories and consciousness transferred from one body to another. Yes, they died, but, imo, they didn't come back to life

@@oryxfirstnavigator4795 And they have no memory of their previous lives. Exos get wiped at reset/reboot, but the Risen/Guardians remember things that happened between resurrections. It's just the stuff before the first resurrection they don't remember. Also, Exo resets aren't done by Ghosts. I was confused for a while about Exo Guardians, but the distinction between resurrections and resets is important. Cayde-6 was probably resurrected multiple times and always came back as the same person. Cayde-5 was a different person and if they reset him as Cayde-7 he'd look the same but wouldn't be. Each time Banshee got reset he (the new person) made the same decision as the others to pick up his weapons and dive into the fight, knowing that the previous ten, twenty, thirty, forty Banshees had all died that way. Incredible bravery or Bray stubbornness? Who knows?

Radegast was the guy with the vision he understood that the way everyone was living was wrong that there was more purpose to humanity than any other risen understood, and that they needed to defend whatever was left of them. Very active guy in the beginning till he died...

I always love this su ject because it goes back to the post-Collapse era known as The Dark Ages and how the Risen, early precursors of us Guardians, were both good & very, very bad. So I gotta ask: *who was the very, very first ghost to rez a human* and what were they like? I even have ideas how this individual still exists and hadn't aged in centuries thx to their Ghost rezzing them in between, yet they're not on our side and sees our newfound Darkness powers as a way to destroy whatever was behind the Collapse and The Traveler itself.

I've always been really interested to know... The First Curse Hand Cannon, is it named after the curse of Nezerec? Is its name something to do with the Hive & the Weapons of Sorrow? OR was the First Curse the weapon of the very first Risen? The curse of immortality, amnesia, a purpose not of your own? A curse to fight all the evils of our Universe?

Destiny player try not to mention Nezarec challenge (***IMPOSSIBLE***) The First Curse was just a gun made by tex mechanica, same as the last word. The name is a play on words with the last word, as it's meant to be its polar opposite. Instead of the first, it's the last. Instead of a word, it's a curse. Instead of shooting fast, it shoots slow. Instead of hip firing, you aim it. You get the idea

We do have a little bit of lore about the first curse and imprecation iirc, so I'll go look into that

I've wanted First Curse in D2 for a while although I do think essentially what they did with Hawkmoon was the rework I'd imagined for it haha! Well, the Stability, Reload, Handling bit y'know? It's entangled within too much important lore to be completely forgotten IMO! With all the Light vs Darkbess, who was the First Guardian etc. I honestly think the First Curse should be the weapon of the first Guardian & be tied into the story that way.

@@pirate_duck4985 I don't think it will be, I looked into the lore and it really is just as simple as: the last word and the first curse were created as sibling weapons, and the blueprint for creating the first curse was lost to time. The name doesn't imply anything special, it's literally just a play on words.

Honestly I bet the first risen died pretty fast. Inexperience/lack of knowledge on how their powers work would probably lead to accidentally killing their ghost, or leaving it exposed for someone else to kill.

we don't know a lot about speakers other than they have visions from the traveler and ghosts have a tendency to follow them around, but they don't die and resurrect like a guardian and no powers that we know of

​@@supercato9613 By that logic, one would say that Zavala we see in the scene is not Zavala, because he's not wearing his armor. Or that's not actual Lord Shaxx because his helmet still has both horns and armor is different to what he's wearing currently. Doesn't make sense does it? What it shows in that cutscene is the human and risen community in the period before things such as Iron Lords, Last City and etc were a thing, so it completely makes sense that Saladin doesn't have his full armor. The helmet is common Titan shape helmet, but the coloring matches thus it makes sense to think that it might be either Saladman himself or possibly other precursor to Iron Lords

@@Derpaherpaderpify We can't know if it's Saladin because we also don't see the Titan's face, which would be the only proof since it's not his armor. And how do the colors match? The Titan is black-grey and has a yellow-orange visor, while Saladin's armor is bronze and silver with no visor

Also, coloring of the helmet does match more or less, because even today Saladin wears iron/silver armor with gold/yellow accents, which can also be found on his helmet together with a visor like ornament. Now correct me if i'm wrong but this is probably the early Dark Age where Saladin still didn't had his iconic Iron Lord armor just as Zavala doesn't have his, Shaxx is wearing slightly different armor and Speaker being in rags instead of his neat white robes, so if I remember the timeline correctly, that titan might as well be Saladin, or might be a random Risen.
