Why the story is lacking and boring at times. Hardly any stakes at all. Since D1, there have been what, 4 major character deaths that have stuck. It’s tiring fighting the same bosses because they come back for some bs reason because Bungie is too lazy to make new bosses

Exactly my problem with the game narratively at this point. Design decisions have driven the lore in a weird place where death is only a temporary inconvenience to be explained away with (insert seasonal macguffin). As both of you point out, there are limited stakes if anyone can be ressurected by whoever. Everyone is just a corpse puppet to trot out in an attempt resell existing assets as a resurrected threat. We used to not feel the impact of monetization and cost cutting because there was enough innovation to forgive it. The asset resell/retexture increasingly IS the product, and it becomes noticeable with the lack of innovation in its iterations. In game you would think people would go through trauma fatigue with the guardians explaining how the same threat they killed a few years ago is back by space magic. Wouldn't someone start questioning if this was a mafia style racketeering?

I don’t get it…that potion nullified wish magic and made Fikrul mortal? Isnt wish magic not of the material world? So Ccccccooouuuuulllllddddd Fikrul comeback? Plus I’d rather they switched Skolas for Craask. We never met the Kell of Kings. It’s only right that he’d become the villain since his whole house was made into Scorn.

This red eather looks wierd i think it might what now dark eather looks like after merging with echo power, my theory is scorn don't need fikrul anymore, they aren't mindless anymore, and if i am correct this special eather can ressurect scorn, like those totems of revenant barons.

Somehow it's shaping up to be the season of returnees. At some point Oryx will come back alive. Maybe Maya Sundaresh will come back with Siva. And maybe at some point the nine will play a bigger role.

@Evaze if you stay in the room after you beat him, you actually see Skolas come back to life. We were doing inventory management, saw him come back and we ran away. Thought it was a bug until this video lol.
