Don't you just love it when the logs from Veil Containment and the current episodes brings everything together. The logs put together tell a story of Chioma's accounts on the Ishtar Collectives experiments and research on the Veil throughout the years they had landed on Neomuna and the eventual downfall of Maya Sundaresh and that of the Collective as time and research on the Veil progressed with Chioma growing older and worn out from one log to another. Chioma having to watch all of it unfold losing Maya to the Veil along with her colleagues. It eventually lead to Chioma at her old age finally giving herself to the Vex consumed and withered by her grief and depression. Chioma and Maya have since been lost in the Vex net until Maya eventually found herself and found her way back to reality through Echoes from the Traveler. Let's say our Guardian finally put this depressing tragedy of the Ishtar Collective to rest for good in the Final Act.

The close connection between Maya Sundaresh and the Brays is a touch revealing. WAS Maya present when Clovis finally uploaded his mind to that Big Exo Head? Is THAT where she got her idea to be the Conductor? Clovis wanted to be the sole Locus of Humanities future development, have himself elevated to a Godhead of sorts. Did Maya fall into a similar trap?

I feel like Chioma has to appear in act 3, or in the exotic mission. Perfect parallel to saint and osiris. Maya = osiris, even he notes it. And Chioma = saint interacting with vex to meet the one they love. Perhaps Chioma saves Maya and she gives up the echo

Now makes we wonder if Lakshmi had a whole other ulterior motive letting the vex into the last city, or, she wasn’t controlled to do it. Like maybe she wasn’t killed, but her mind was just reacquired. Cause nobody was there at the moment of her demise, we just happened upon her body

Not gnna lie, the story was kinda creepy. A regular married scientist gone crazy just because they heard a voice from and alien artifact. Reminds me of dead space without the messed up monsters.

Simply put (for now): Lightbearer Guardian Saint-14 (oh yes. especially such like him, Lore-wise speaking, in these post-pre Destiny 1/Destiny 2-Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Retcon era times these days) and even now former (still rear-hurtfully disgruntled about that by the way, to this day, after those beyond Light/2020 era's of two of the immolant Lore records' portrayal of his and along with Ghost Sagira's states of their raw connections of [Paracausal] [Light]. who even decided to write That sudden nerf of him again!?) Lightbearer Guardian Osiris. all the way to these very sudden, Golden Age era Humanity 'Neptunian' colony's introductions of theirs (like that Nimbus creation of theirs). Etc Other cons about this franchise's state.

Most of clovis bray's technology was based on the vex through an exchange with the darkness. it's how he learned how to create the exos and probably lead to the warmind network as well

I firmly believe that Lakshmi wasn't necessarily 'killed' by the vex during Season of the Splicer but was uploaded to give Maya a blueprint for her new body as The Conductor. Still teabagged her corpse though.

@@S.t.a.w.Ink_Yayait’s believed in the community that strand was originally supposed to come out in witch queen as opposed to lightfall, for a number of reasons, for example on the warlock chest armor the needlestorm symbol is blatant on the chest. Also deepsight feels out of place, it seems connected to darkness as it deals with the non physical aspects of the world and we now know light is physical, darkness is non physical. I will say bungie have came out and straight up said strand was not intended for witch queen but considering the blatant needle storm logo as well as the fact that witch queen was suppose to be the second to last expansion and lightfall would’ve been the conclusion with the witness it just makes a lot of sense.

"Maya was right about everythng...." So, did Maya have access to an OXTA Machine? Was she mind-forking and having predictive visions BEFORE they reached Neptune, And whar Cult was Chioma referring to? The Ishtar Collective or a nascent 'Future War Cult' before the Faction we know from the Last City and Lakshmi 2?

My money is on a nascent Future War Cult. The golden age had so much going on that we don't know, and the technology so grand, it makes sense that someone who orbits Maya Sunderesh would have had access to or made a prediction engine.

Interesting. Maya didn't create Lakshmi, but just used her body to download a copy of her personality. Lakshmi was an exo before that. It makes me wonder a few things. I'm having the strange feeling that the conductor is NOT Maya, but Chioma after she uploaded herself into the Vex network, in an attempt to find Maya there. She became obsessed, and might have joined with Maya's cloned in the vex network, in an attempt to be with her, and her mind suffered for it, becoming inflicted with that same obsession as her wife. Would be an interesting twist. The one thing that really annoys me is Nimbus saying MSUND12 as 'M Sund 12' instead of 'MS UND 12' (miss-uhnd). It makes it a little too obvious and makes them look dimwitted that we've been talking about Maya Sundaresh for weeks. Oh well, not my creative decision.

I played Lightfall for the first time after The Final Shape was released, and I couldn't shake one thought off. Whenever I see the Ishtar Collective logo, I keep thinking it's a Hive symbol at first. Then eventually, I think about Savathun. She is the one that hid Veil on Neptune, but is she also the one that somehow led Maya & Chioma there? Chioma's logs keep stating that Maya is not herself, and we know Savathun may disguise as or influence others. Then I think about the secret in the Starcrossed. Apparently, there's a secret room that could be accessed through a portal (or by going out of bounds), and at the center, there's an Ishtar Collective symbol, made by Vex. Starcrossed takes place in Black Garden, and the Vex we face there was from Sol Divisive faction. Why was there a Vex-made Ishtar Collective symbol there? Was it to signal that Lakshmi was present in their network? Or assuming Ishtar Collective is actually controlled by Savathun, was it to signal that it was a plan of her to keep Riven in check? Then there's Nezarec and Savathun. Ehh... this is getting out of hand. Just as this season is giving some answers on the subject of Veil (even though it's late), I hope we'll get some answers about Savathun, and how much of our Destiny she was involved in.

So serious question, do you understand what the game is expressing? Why do we have multiple games with the same theory at the forefront, especially exploring consciousness, design and shape of the universe...shared thought...immortals creating, creating social structures and populace... Anyways, reality while being real, is one of the most fun things to explore. We literally as a species (as I'm sure others are as well) are trying to define everything and nothing. We can use our simulations to explore it all, understand everything, and create.

The conductor says she isn’t lakshmi, when she says “is a facsimile it’s archetype? I am Maya Sundaresh”. This a different instance of Maya from Lakshmi 2, even though she is made to resemble Lakshmi

The whole time we knew Lakshmi she was an imprint of Maya Sundaresh, like how some Tormentors are imprints of Nezarec. The original Lakshmi succumbed to brain death with the other Exos on Neomuna that came in contact with the Veil.

Looking back we didn't appreciate the form of gaming plus storytelling. Lightfall was a mystery (in story) little pieces were given to tell a complete story. The community didn't appreciate this, there wasn't "instant gratification" so players hated it, which is why the WHOLE narrative team was let go. Yes, I blame Bungie for missteps but man this community is extra toxic to lore/storytelling overall.

I think the issue and why people were pissed was the way they handled the mystery of the veil. It was as if us going into neomuna, the characters expected us to know what the veil was. Making us defend something we don’t know shit about while Osiris nimbus and our ghost sometimes seem like they already know what it is.

@@PrimeStudioz interesting, I disagree.. Lightfall was a year of mystery I remember several missions/lore vidoc where both characters you mentioned had no idea what the vile was or represented. They were in search to understand it, like us (the player) Kinda proved my point that majority of players didn’t read deep into the lore, not appreciated, hence why the team was fired. The community is toxic when it comes to lore, if it’s not immediate understand .. it’s trash. That’s how the community treats/views things.

Not to sound like I'm hating or anything, just making an observation but ain't it funny how all the characters talking in these veil containment sequences are gay ? like why is bungie making everyone gay? Nothing against it but man they sure have been pushing it. Also not the only game devs doing this. I have no problem with a character's orientation, but man do us the players really need to know that, is it integral to the story at large? I'm just .. idk sorry don't mind me
