human vex, or vexified humanity, has been something I have been thinking about for nine years. An important data point you missed is the grimoire page for the original Vex Mythoclast, in which the writer ponders why the Vex would have in their possession a weapon of Vex design that was clearly designed to be wielded by human, or human-like, physiology.

i really like the idea / speculation that the vex were once humans of a previous existence & advanced to such a degree that they transcended time, moving onto the next match of the garden. (I believe that existence is the flower game) hence why humans can access it so easily, provided they aren't converted in the process. the hypothetical reason the vex are in the sol system is to uplift their distant kin & bring unity to the universe/ flower games by bringing about the final shape via convergence. the vex are the final shape.

I suspect after the final shape we will see some sort of causality loop and time travel situation that will loop everything back to the start of Destiny... kind of like what Starfeild did. Destiny will effectively be complete but will continue to exist with the same missions and story but with different twists. I personally would love to play through all the campaigns again from the start with some added twists and a different perspective. We know destiny are low on funds so reusing old content seems like a logical move to keep it going with minimal resources

I'm really starting to think that Siva is the precursor to Radiolaria, and thus, the Vex. It would be fitting that the Vex are in a paradox loop. Radiolaria could be the inspiration for Willa and Clovis to make Siva. And it could end up being that an exploratory ship was sent out, with a large amount of Siva, and tragedy strikes, and the last instruction given to the Siva is to increase it's efficiency, in which case, it evolves into Radiolaria, and becomes the Vex. Then, upon gaining the ability to travel through time, seed themselves throughout history. It would be interesting to be in a position where they cannot be prevented from being created, and they really can't be stopped, due to the effect of not having them to influence Humanity and Clovis Bray's projects.

My wish for what comes after The Final Shape? Failsafe commanding Guardians and The House of Light, The Awoken of thr Reef and Empress Caital's Loyal Legion on a preemptive strike against the Vex on one of their converted suns. To avenge every single living being, ever, human, every colonist on the Exodus Black, her captain, that was killed and converted by their pattern. I just want Failsafe to be more active again, please don't let her get vaulted too...

I'm convinced that the Witness is just Archie the exo dog in disguise. Here's how I think Final Shape will end. Our guardian confronts Witness. The Witness turns around and says "So we finally meet on the battlefield. It's time I revealed to you my real identity. **takes off mask** Our guardian, unprepared for this revelation, falls to their knees in disbelief and hunches over on all fours staring at the ground trying to process this. Archie then hops out of his Witness suit and walks over to give us kisses. Our guardian then says "No... all this time... it was YOU controlling the darkness?" **cue the end credits with the same song used for Silent Hill 2's dog ending**

My theory is that the Vex is what remains of humanity from a previous iteration of the universe. It is clear that Destiny is (let's be generous and say) "inspired" by the Elrick saga. So it tracks.

I still see them as just the engine, they set up the definitions of the universe, and use literals to test their definitions. I believe the ones utilizing them are the nine, or the programmers. Also, they already have shown that the simulation and reality were coterminous, or perfect fidelity...made a post, about how to think of veil, traveler, and what the witness did...pulled reality and the simulation in as one, a confirmation. They still follow a structure though, we need to talk with the programmers, see what they have to say. Also, from one ghost came many guardians, from one traveler came many ghosts, evidently ghosts have different personalities and a being full of different consciousness went into traveler. And the Warmind is "dead" again (or just doing a predetermined pattern. What I am getting at...we may be actually experiencing the collapse again...how do we get out of the loop...that would be the greatest threat to existence...being explained as not real.

I feel with the demise of the Witness, the ensuing power vaccum will likely result in several of these lesser followed factions rising up. Im takking about the Psions, the Sol Devisive, and other lesser known races/factions. This race to obtain the Witness's power will be crazy, as the Guardians temaelves are also trying to reach it as well, while stopping everyone else. And perhaps as we reach this power, we may obtain the third darkness power.

I think a paradox. Chioma or maya copies from the lore make them in the future to study themselves and fulfil the loop. We haven’t see the other side of this loop yet. Since they’re humans who know about exos they make them compatible with humans to ensure things fall in line…. Think kang like comic origins with a twist.

It's tough to say, but think of it like this- The vex have the capabilities of combat units, but just don't for a few reasons. Each vex we see now is like a worker with tools at a construction site, Minotaurs are heavy lifters, Hydras the managers, Wyverns the demolition crew, etc... But the way that the vex work, they probably don't see the need for "combat units" since they operate and think in a way that's so alien to us we can't truly understand it. And seeing as they work as efficiently as possible, they probably see their construction units being armed with minor self-defense tools as the optimal way to function, seeing as they want to simply convert everything to the Vex, opposed to holding as many wars as possible.

@@The_Art_of_Music_Official Actually iirc from the Beyond Light lore, the Wyverns are the first actual combat units we encountered, however these act more as bodyguards for the main worker units than actual offensive forces. They're basically here because we struck our foot in the anthill and now they're like "hey not cool".

Right out of the gate you say "Vex are not humans" but I am going to completely disagree with that. Mark my words, it will be revealed that both the Witness and the Vex are born of humans in far future timelines. The Vex come from a future possible timeline where Light and Darkness don't exist, and the Witness has the same origin but from a timeline where the Light and Darkness do exist. The Vex timeline no longer exists, or never existed, and only when the Traveller interacted with humanity on Mars did the Vex corporealise and begin invading. Their invasion is so thorough that they have retroactively inserted themselves into the beginning of the universe. This is how they can time travel (like diving birds), but since this timeline is different to their "origin" timeline, they are unable to make predictions about the Light and Guardians. Bungie have outright stated that Unveiling is not concrete information, but the community continues to insist on the existence of a pre-universe "garden" where the Vex come from. I argue that the metaphor of the garden does not describe a pre universe state, but instead describes all possible adjacent timelines. The Vex come from one of these possibilities, the Witness from another. But both are the result of a human gestalt intelligence project.

I don't really see the basis of Vex being liquefied humans. And from my understanding the Black Garden is a simulation of the Primordial Garden. It's the only location we've been to that's described as a Garden, and in the battle of Light and Dark it describes a Tree of Silver Wings being burned to Cinder. In the center of the Black Garden we fight the Sanctified mind in what seems to be a giant Tree Stump. The Sol Divisive also treats it as some sort of Holy ground and this is why. It's a direct simulation of where it all started.
