Sir, 1:54:00-1:55:00 There is an error in your equation m-k-11 actually it should be m-k-5 and the answer will be 13. There are two possible values of k+m ,one is 12 and other is 13. I think question along with the option is correct and the correct answer is option D that is 13. Thanks.

@@roheetpahal5375 the equation will be 5+k-m=11or 0 => k-m=6or-5 So the maximum value of k and m will be 9 and 3 respectively for k-m=6 or the maximum value of k and m for k-m= -5 will be 9 and 4 respectively. And for maximum value of k+m we will consider the second case where k=9 and m=4 . Thus the maximum value of k+m=9+4=13.

@@roheetpahal5375 I hope u understand how the equation will be m-k-5 then you know this difference must be multiple of 11 and multiple of 11 includes 0,11,22,33.....etc. Now, Case 1:- Take m-k-5=0 m=k+5,as m and n are single digit so maximum value of m can be 9 and accordingly value of n will be 4. So,m+n=13. There are various combination possible for m=n+5 like ((m=5,n=0),(m=6,n=1),(m=7,n=2)......but we have to consider that case in which value of m and n is larger in order to get m+n maximum. Hence we choose m=9 and n=4 accordingly. Now. Case2:- m-k-5=11 m=6+k, Again repeat the same process you will get m=9 and n=3 hence m+n=12. Again there are various combination possible but we have to take that case in which m and n are karger in order to get maximum value of m+n. Case 3:- m-k-5=22 m=17+k As m and n are single digit and even putting minimum value of k as zero we will get m as 17 which is NOT possible. So similarly all other cases will be rejected and we have to take answer between Case 1 and Case2 only. And between Case1 and Case2 the maximum value is 13, hence 13 is correct answer.
