As a big fan of you, I have a question: do you practice without gloves and use gloves just on stage? The gloves on stage are because of the sweaty hands? I'm surprised people doesn't talk that much about gloves considering how many players use to compete. I'll put my hands on an Edge FS as soon as possible, by the way. Thanks a lot! People who use gloves in competition use it to ensure there is a constant and consistent friction b/w the hands and the string, also some tricks like big zoning stuff can give u string burns, especially if u use a rough string. He uses gloves while practicing his freestyle, you can see it in Brandon's vlog.

@@cannibal7961 Exactly. I usually use gloves to practice, but this was an impromptu practice sesh, and I didn't have gloves to practice. The main purpose like @CanniBal pointed out is to improve consistency, since usually I get sweaty palms from nervousness on stage. Also, sometimes humidity is an issue. If I practice in a humid place like Hawaii then travel to a dry climate like Arizona, the gloves help mitigate the effects of the change in humidity.

Also depends on the weather. If it's cold or dry, the skin on my hands crack a lot more easily and I have to wear gloves sometimes.

Question, how does the Edge 2022 compare to the very first Edge? I have the laugh Edge and was trying to decide if I should get a Wedge, Edge FS, or 2022, so would be cool to hear your pricing on these ☺️

wedge is good overall for a plastic, but a tad outdated and the atom smasher is better imo. the edge fs is a solid monometal that should be able to do all your hardest tricks as shown here. lastly, the edge 2022 is an insanely good bimetal that will excel at everything. personally, i would get the fs but if u have the money, get the 2022
