God doesn’t expect us to do more than he does. We only need to forgive the repentant, just as God does. If someone isn’t repentant you don’t have to forgive. Unforgiving 70×7 is for when somebody repentance and then he does the same thing again or something else and then he repentance again. You still have to accept his apology and move on. Unless you think he’s being phony.
