Evander Holyfield was the king of headbutting. Mike's punches were killing him. Holyfield's strength was getting the ref at his back circling around and timing a head butt. Mike was right for getting him back. Any man has the right to defend themself. Holyfield is also the reason the heavyweight division had no credibility for so long. Im begging you to watch Lennox Lewis kick the snot out of him the whole fight. He didn't legitimately win one round. The judges gave that fight to Holyfield. Boxing will never live that down.

For your information. Holyfield was a LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT...When Mike was Knocking out Grown MEN........They GROOMED HOLYFIELD TO BE A HEAVYWEIGHT WHILE THEY ICED TYSON FOR 3YRS ALSO TAKING AWAY HIS AGGRESSION.... They learned how a fighter LOSES STEPS FROM INACTIVITY WHEN THEY KEPT MUHAMMED ALI FROM BOXING OVER THE DRAFT. AND MAYWEATHER DID THE SAME THING TO PAC-MAN. WAITING 5YRS AFTER HIS SHOULD HAVE FOUGHT HIM...

@The Ghost Didn't Oliver McCall. Check Lennox Chin earlier in his career. Lennox didn't want Tyson when he still had head movement.... Even when they did fight Emmanuel Stewart had to curse him out, to make him go for the KO because ES knew Tyson's will, was broken.... Frustrated with the Jab... Lennox was still worried about getting caught with One Punch....

Tyson is an all time great. Speed and power combo never seen before is since. Defense par excellence. I agree aspects of his life turned off many critics. But remember, he was 21 years old, the most recognizable face on the planet for a few years, all the money in the world he had never seen and yet absolutely NO supervision. After Cus Damato died he was raw meat in the midst of wolves. If any of us were in the same situation we would have made awful decisions too. Landed him in prison. I think he would have been better longer if his life didnt go to shambles. It showed vs. Douglas came to a head vs. Holyfield

I’m a huge Tyson fan but it could be argued that he is overrated. He lost his biggest fights (although they were post conviction). His two biggest fights prior to going to jail were Trevor Berbick and Spinks both aging fighters.

Mike Tyson was his own worst enemy and he deteriorated when Cus dies but he lost control when he fired Rooney and married that Psychotic lunatic Robing Givens. If He fought Holyfield before that mess he would have destroyed him. there was nobody left to harness Tyson's energy, In my opinion there was never and never will be a better all around heavyweight boxer than Mike Tyson

Only Tyson Haters will disagree with you. I made this comment, which many people overlook - Have Holyfield spend 3 years in prison for a bullshit crime which never happened. It takes a lot out of you. I want to see any boxer who does 3 years time for a crime which he never did and comes back like Tyson did. A true competitor will acknowledge this.
