Foreman was 42 when he fought Holyfield. Nobody ever took Foreman out quickly and easily. Ali was the only man to stop him, and that took 8 rounds. Excellent upload. Hollyfield feels to me a bit like FloJo, never any direct evidence of peds, but a fair bit of innuenfo. FloJo also operated at a time when testing was limited, and she retired right before the introduction of better testing protocols. I did have a giggle when Evander's enlarged heart was mentioned, what could cause that? His up and down performances could, could, be linked to ped cycling and use or nonuse of epo, but all speculation. Maybe his up and down performances were due to psychology, it's not easy staying up surrounded by some pretty tough oppo. I remember looking at Evander's face during his Tydon 1 ringwalk, and thinking, he's tuned in, he looks confident.

Nah, Holyfield was an all time great, not an occasional great. Was Tyson an occasional great? Was Foreman an occasional great? It makes no sense. Either you do great things, or you don't. Holyfield did great things. Do the same teams win the Super Bowl every season? Did Tom Brady win the Super Bowl every season? Was he the occasional great? When Holyfield lost in his prime, it was against great fighters like a prime Riddick Bowe (a great heavyweight), a prime Michael Moorer (one of the most underrated heavyweight's of the 90's), and Lennox Lewis (an all-time great among greats). Holyfield was beating Michael Moorer until his shoulder gave out, and he was in terrible pain. He survived that fight, he didn't just lose it straight up. Holyfield proved that by knocking Michael Moorer out in their second fight to take Moorer's championship belt. You're talking about a man who never lost as a Cruiserweight, became undisputed at Cruiserweight, and became undiputed at heavyweight, unified champion twice, and WBA champion after his prime was already over and done. When people thought Holyfield was washed, he would come through to beat the best fighters of the day. Tyson didn't do that, Lennox didn't do that, Frazier didn't do that. Holyfield lives in the company of guys like Larry Holmes, Ali, Foreman, Hopkins, Pacquiao, Duran, Hearns, and so many others. Most champions are lucky to stay near the top of the pecking order for 5 years, let alone for well over a decade.

Got exactly what he deserved against Tyson...dirty dirty fighter...Mike Tyson was the wrong man to constantly foul and cheat...and let's be real there's a huge question mark with holyfield regarding peds
@crimsonchin963210 ай бұрын
I didn't realise there were this level of Tyson fanboys on this channel, spitting infantile lies. He was beating him in the 2nd fight same as he beat him in the 1st fight, Mike knew he couldn't beat him and knew he was finished if he was stopped twice in a row legitimately and couldn't be sold as the same kind of market draw. He needed to get out of that fight and quick, so it had to be a disqualification, by biting him he guaranteed a DQ loss and that way could still maintain his menace & bad boy image for his legions of silly people who believe all his garbage. Since you haven't watched the fights I'll update you, the headbutting was mostly being done by Mike, Evander just gave him some back and rightly so too. Round 6 Mike lunged in to butt Holyfield, winced back holding himself in pain to complain to the ref, even then he was wanting out of the fight. All the worst clashes of heads resulted from Mike lunging in with his head against a fighter who also had a come forward style and wouldn't let Tyson push him back like he was used to, Mitch Halpern himself said it was 2 guys who lead with their heads causing clashes of heads. Mike's just a coward and a quitter, his ego and bully boy mentality meant he couldn't handle being in there with a guy he couldn't beat. Honestly you should watch the actual fights, watch them without the Tyson Vision goggles on though, Tyson only gets brave when there are people between him and Holyfield, waits till Holyfield's back is turned before pushing him, typical coward. There's no other fight in his career where you see the true Tyson: limited, coward and quitter. Holyfield said it himself, if you're that bad and you hate me so much whoop me with the gloves not by biting.

And so was the nearly 35 year old Holyfield who was on a comeback from forced retirement, losses in his last 3/7 fights including a brutal KO defeat months earlier, and being labeled as washed up. Why would you put the old and declining Holyfield up against a young peak Tyson. If you think the Holyfield that fought Tyson was him at his best then you should study more boxing bro.

Holyfield, a blown-up cruiserweight, sure was inconsistent with 7 straight great performances at the championship HW level. 😂 He was definitely inconsistent after this run, however, especially after Moorer I.

At least holyfield was the only 1 in that era where he was willing to fight anybody. Lennox, riddick and mike cannoy say that.

Lennox? He was the one being ducked.

@@hossainrouf no he wasn't. He could have fought holyfield in 93 but chose to be awared a title by fighting nobody. That's cowardly. Do your research you idiot.

Incoming lame steroid comments because: toned muscles or something. Getting to 208 pounds is such a challenge on a 6’ 2” frame. Sure. Do you really think steroid users have great cardio and few injuries? Holy was tested more than most and certainly did no more PEDs than his contemporaries
