My husband and I, on our first camping trip, sat up at night in front of embers and watching the stars in Algonquin park, we'd smoked a bowl. He introduced me to this song for the first time. I sat there for what felt like forever on the rollercoaster that is this song, one earphone in my ear and the other in his - staring at the brilliant, unclouded majesty of space. I still feel it in my stomach when I listen.

@electricoceangames71248 жыл бұрын
Well to be fair, deadmau5 is a producer. As far as EDM production goes, there are many tools like arpeggiators, randomizers, delays, etc that can really aid in the creation of a track. So is deadmau5 more than just a DJ? Yes, but he's no composer either. He has an artistic mind and a great set of ears, but in this case that mainly aids in the mixing/mastering process, moreso than the creative process. He uses a chain of analog modular synthesis, as well as a chain of DAW tools to create.
@Miguel-ke5cq8 жыл бұрын

Lost my wife and daughter.. was alone in the home my world gone .. drunk crying .. this song came on .. think I was one of the first to view it . .. hard to talk about why this hit me so hard.. you hear about how a song can move you... only had my best friend left who had the same name as my daughter.. saved my life and helped my find a way to live.. and then he died of sudden leukemia on the anniversary of losing my family... Life is hard and unfair.. dont know how I keep going.. Small things that give me hope is the beauty that lies within each of us if only we can be brave enough to choose. Thank you Evan. Hey, Evan. I first saw your video back in 2013 whe I was obssessed with the original song. Those were such different times. So much has changed since then. My parents used to have a piano at home and I remember listening to your cover for hours straight and trying to reproduce it. I even recorded my own (very poor) version of it. I moved out, my parents and I don't see or speak in a long, long time, and I never had the chance to play the piano again untill this year when I'm finally buying my own. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that after all these years, here I am again. Somehow, you cover has inspired me in ways I can't even explain and whenever I want to remember happier days I listen to your version of Strobe and it helps me get better :)

Deadmau5 Strobe is lowkey one of the most beautiful pieces about love, how it provides you with undertones of joy and happiness as you progress, constantly wanting more than what is given but you must force a sense of appreciation, taking it for granted might choke the relationship ruining the journey that was paved for you, to pace and to appreciate and to love what is in front of you, allowing you to flourish into something more after teetering over the edge of an almost unbearable wait. The strobing rhythm of ones breathing and heartbeat, steady and consistent, with the one.

There is only a few things in the world that can not be die or forgotten. It means "something" all the time whether you experience it ten years ago or ten years later. This experience was and is one of these. You didn't only do a cover, you put your soul in that a few moments and we still feel it. Thank you deadmau5 for bringing this masterpiece to life and thank you for doing this cover.

Every couple years, the algorithm brings this masterpiece back to my homepage and I always greatly appreciate this wonderful masterpiece and it also reminds me that Deadmau5 is truly a marvelous composer.

This has been one of my favorite songs since I first heard it 11 years ago. I first heard it when playing Team Fortress 2 and some guy was playing it through the Half-LifeDJ thingy that let you play music to the whole server.

I lost my dog a few days ago, he was old and sick. We talked to him that he can leave in peace, that he shouldn't be afraid of anything. So I put him on my lap and we listen to this song while we pet him, he passed away in my mother's arms hours later. Júnior I just want to thank you for being in my family for almost 16 years, you brought us love and joy every single day, we will always love you, especially me. I hope to meet you someday in heaven my big dog

If he played on a grand. It would've sounded better but you'll need a really good grand and a kickass microphone for it to sound as good as aux input from the electric piano.

Peaceful. One wise man said "Music is what feelings sound like", there are songs what makes you feel happy, energetic, relaxed etc.. This song makes me feel that we still have hope and everything will be ok. I don't usually comment anything on KZbin, but I wanted to share this..

Upright pianos do not always sound amazing. This is a very beautiful tone on an up right. This has gotta be an epiano mod right? Yamaha probably? Whatever it is...that sound is the price of some peoples' cars.

Blown away. Sat here bawling my eyes out. How can noise do that? It's just noise. No words. Just noise. Made me so emotional.
@skbartistry24735 жыл бұрын
Sound. Not noise. Noise is something repetitive, single node or single frequency and unpleasant. Sound can speak where words cant. Take a listen to your favorite songs. It's most likely not the words that moves you, but the music instead. The words and the song merely enhances the instruments as the vast majority of singers today, dont understand what it means to use their voice as an instrument and not as a complimentary enhancement of the instruments
@neilross98675 жыл бұрын
@@skbartistry2473 They're two words that meanbtge same thing. But I agree with what you're saying. There are songs I really really like, I may not know all the words but I'll know every note of the bass track, a little flourish of the lead guitar in the chorus or the drum pattern and changes from verse to verse.

Listen to birds, wolves, crickets, etc. Animals communicate with music. We are animals. We communicated with music long before we used complex dialect. It's a primal drive.
