Amy Lee dedicated “My Immortal” to my late Mom (Nancy)-who just passed away a few weeks ago-as well as my Dad (Todd) and me (Aaron). This is a video I took of her giving her this special tribute to us as well as her and the Kansas City Orchestra performing “My Immortal” at the Starlight Theatre In Kansas City, MO. I love Amy Lee she is so beautiful and her voice is so pretty you know when some singers sing live they don't sound as good as when they sing on their album so when you hear a singer sing live and they sound just as beautiful as if they were singing on their album it just makes me love them just that much more!! That's the beauty of music - emotion. This song becomes personal and she sings it even better than in 2004. (Being written by Ben about his grandfather). You can see that at most singers. If you look how Eddie Vedder was singing Black when it meant something for him. And then years it wasn't so emotionally performed as it used to be, but it became personal again when Chris Cornell died. It's just incredible how feelings are shown through music, sometimes unfortunately triggered by sad events than neither of us want to happen.

As Much as I love Amy Lee's Beautiful Voice and her Band Evanescence, I just Can't Listen to this song. I Listened to it for the Very First Time when i Bought Evanescence's Debut Album and i just broke down in tears, because it reminded me of my Mum who passed away 26 Years ago, (it was actually 19 Years ago at the time of when they released their Debut Album). I Still Can't listen to it even now, i have to skip it, or mute the volume whenever i hear it on the Radio.

I was disappointed because I thought Lindsey was there to backup Amy. This was the first time I saw the lead act play first. Lindsey played maybe 2 songs with Amy and then is was just Lindsey. Lindsey is good, but no instrument can match Amy’s voice.

Rest with the angels your mom.Im here to share that this song (big fan of Amy for more than 17years!)was My 15'sweet traditional celebration at Argentina when You turn on 15years old (now i live at Finland with My husband and when i need to feel close to My family and Friends after migration-for love because that is the strengh to do such a thing of ALL what i knew/i remember My grandpa R.I.P taking me of his arm to our dinner and My grandma also ...here fare away if somebody die there i don't rich at time for covid dispositioj etc..so live is preciously..i huge everybody and i was like a huge death to My old live Say goodbye But happy at My loving husband and soon new family 🌺For You for us for Amy and all our Evanescence healing therapy process a huge thanks for sharing!I hope one day have the chance to meet her and thanks her for speceally 2 things that i know she Will be happy to know how she helped me with her music. Wow... what an incredible tribute. Sorry to hear about your loss man. I'm curious, how do you know them? I'd have probably not been able to take it if this had been done for me. It's odd, Synthesis came almost 6 months after my dad's death. I had let go of Evanescence because they weren't the band to listen to when I was growing up, but for some odd reason, I had a hankering for new music on November 13, 2017, and right there on the front page of itunes was Synthesis. And when I started listening to it again, it hit me that this is what my grief sounds like. Never crossed my mind that My Immortal was so much about loss of a loved one, but this has redefined it for me.
