Not going to lie I've listened to this more than I can admit and I really like it. They've finally delivered the heaviness I've always imagined they could have. I could totally imagine a new style of music videos with this album, no more Goth themes or underwater scenes. This has such a grunge, heavy, rough sound that makes me see the band in a post-apocalyptic setting. Would seriously love to see that.

She's so incredible. Always is. I always just feel her voice has to be so much louder because the other instruments drown her out. I always feel for her because she holds her own, but her vocal chords I'm sure could use the break once in a while. This should be mixed better. She deserves that.

Does anyone else think that this song is about her early years of being in the band and also their first manager that she fired due to sexual harassment? Because I remember her saying in several articles how a lot of people, both inside and outside of the band, tried to make decisions for her and take advantage of the fact that she was a young inexperienced girl in a predominantly male field back then, and how The Open Door kinda reflected some of her triumph over those hurdles. And once I saw the first two verses of this song I immediately thought of that. I honestly would love it if they released commentary for each song on this entire album so that I could know for sure! But I want to know about the other songs too because a lot of Amy’s songs have interesting and intimate stories behind them.

This reminds me so much of old Evanescence and I love it for that. Amy's voice is just immortal at this point. The mixing is definitely an issue though; I want to hear her vocals with instrumentals in the background, not the other way around. If that's fixed, this would be their best song in years (if not one of their top ones overall).
