This sounds like a perfect mixture of songs from both: ‘Fallen’ (2003) & ‘The Open Door.’ (2006) The chorus sounds like it’s straight outta The Open Door Era, but the verses kinda sound like ‘Fallen’ with Amy Lee’s soft singing voice and the distorted electronic drums in the background. Brilliant, brilliant song. I read this as Amy Lee speaking on ending white supremacy and patriarchy (our fathers were wrong), and that a new generation (the future) must rise up and undo the violence and cruelty of the past to build a new society on love (love over ALL - the key to redemption).

This is one of my favorite songs but she sang it in lower key. They will have to drop this song off their Fall tour setlist eventually because this song will destroy her vocals during the extensive tour. But I am grateful they did give it a try at least. Kudos Evanescence!

If you notice her singing is different than 10 years ago. During the evanescence era she was struggling to sing because from what I understand around 30 or so you have to take vocal lessons. It happened to lzzy hale too.
