Do you see something different here? It's an audience that sits quietly and listens to Amy's beautiful voice without rude disruptions. I watched a Halestorm & Amy Lee duet video the other day. It was somewhere in the US and all I heard was, ppl screaming and shouting out to Amy "Amy I love you". I barely could hear the 2 amazing women perform. I would have to say there are caveats to your statement. High energy songs feed off the audience, and participation is good so long as it is not overpowering and drowning out the performer. Strong, emotional acoustic/acapella performances are loaded with nuance that is lost in the noise. Sit back, close your eyes, let the emotion take you where that artist leads.
