Yes!! I used to listen to Evanescence all the time during my junior year of high school when my depression was really bad. After that I spent like a year and a half avoiding them because they were so heavily associated with that time. Now I'm a college sophomore and I'm finally able to listen to Evanescence without being reminded so much of my depression. Clearly this isn't one happy little pop band. This is a excellent band however you tend to grow tired of the same old redundant tempo and beat of the music. The only thing that sets them apart from bands of this genre is the incredible voice and style of the incomparable Amy Lee!!! She's second to none!!!

I wouldn't say ALL mainstream pop and rap are talentless to be honest... It is possible for rock to be mainstream as well, mind you, and not every single mainstream artist is pop or rap, to simplify the genre . There's some pop acts that I honestly think send some rock bands running for their money. That's just my personal opinion and I will probably get a lot of hate for this but oh well.
