I know a lot of Evanescence fans of old don’t particularly like Synthesis because it doesn’t have any new material aside from 2 new songs. But I absolutely love Synthesis. It’s reimagining of a lot of the songs that made them famous. I love the combo rock and orchestra. I wish they had done a few more fallen songs, like Going Under, my last breath, and Hello (but we all know why Amy Lee didn’t do Hello) but I love Synthesis and it’s probably tied with Fallen as my favorite album.
@haleywilson5202 жыл бұрын
I really haven't listened to anything new after The Open Door because I didn't like it that much. I'm floored listening to this album; she has so much more strength and control in her voice than she used to.
@Cal902082 жыл бұрын
@@haleywilson520 You should give their third album a listen. I love it. Lost in Paradise, The Change, My Heart is Broken. There’s some great songs
@carpediemearth2 жыл бұрын
Synthesis is amazing rework of previous material plus the two new songs, of which Hi-Lo is my favorite. Fans who don't like orchestral, classical and electronica will dislike it, but I love that Amy further experimented and explored this which has always been a big part of her inspirations alongside other more know musical styles like alternative and metal. The Open Door is a far greater album to Fallen. Their recent album The Bitter End is great record too.

I love Synthesis!! I used the BMTL version on that album as my wedding song. To me, Synthesis was like... What if Amy was allowed to do everything she wanted to on Fallen.

My mom died two weeks ago. We didn't see eye to eye. Being over 30, served in the military, and still I was treated like a child. Could hardly stand the services held in name, but the original Mozart "Lacrimosa" was playing at the funeral home. I haven't heard that tune since high school, but its always been my jam. Also, knowing the dead work "coincidence" and manipulate "fates" to deliver messages to the living. She won't hold me back anymore. Now I just have her compassion left.
