After watching this movie I can finally say goodbye to Evangelion. It was a wild ride from beginning to end.

Can't believe how many times I have cried over this piece since I first heard it. Tons of memories flood me, having my family introduce me to this series unintentionally when I was a little kid, endless nights searching and reading the craziest of theories, talking for hours with my brother about the series alongside my mother, sharing the same passion with both my school and internet friends. Thank you everyone for sharing the same passion with me, and thanks to Shiro Sagisu for the amazing OST. I dedicate this piece to my uncle who was a true kid at heart despite his age, and with whom I shared the same passion for anime and asian culture. It pains me to believe he didn't get to watch the first Rebuild in 2007. Rest in piece, mom really misses you. (I never make comments this long, but I really feel like I need to vent out my feelings right now).
@XmassWraith3 жыл бұрын
It was the same with me and my brother growing up... he died before we got to watch the first rebuild. I still talked to him about them after I got to see each one. I don’t know if you’d do the same, but it’s pretty therapeutic.

P.S. related to Evangelion: Misato Sacrifice herself in hope of a better tomorrow for his son, and instantly this come up in my mind: John 15 Ver. 13: 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends...... Damn....that hit me hard........

Such a beautiful soundtrack. It really makes me sad that she never got her happy ending, although I guess there's no greater joy than knowing that your sacrifice will help your child live a happy normal life. The Lyrics by the way. "And to this road I commit my feet so that I may offer up my journey to be with God This path I choose as a show of love may be long or never ending But I will never falter from its course, my aim is true Should it be, that I tire on the way then Lord, please comfort me with love unbounded and I will gladly follow you..."

Lost my mom before 1.0. Dropped out of school around 2.0. Came out of the closet just after 3.0. Finally got around to 3.0+1.0, well-timed to me finding the willpower to deal with my despair and traumas. Canon in D was my mom's fave piece. This song is my Spear of Gaius.

I started Evangelion back when I was 14, back then I was lonely and depressed, it was easy to insert myself into Shinji. All those years later after growing up and learning, I can still see myself into a grown up Shinji. Good bye Evangelion.
