Actually most prefer thinner toe pads and it takes years for them to get like that. Lists of ballerinas don’t like thick padding. It’s all preference though.😊

Helpful tip: if you're toe pads feel too thick, once a day, iron them on the steam setting with a light spray of fabric starch. The spray starch combined with ironing them on the steam setting will help thin them quickly. Usially only takes a couple of days and dosnt harm them.

I think Maya just got so used to not use any other toe pads then what she have ( those aren't zombies anymore those are ancient ) that putting new once would be ticker and probably uncomfortable for her to use. Like she technically dances without them and got used to that feeling.😂 By the way I'm aware this isn't healthy but she knows about that more so I just hope no one is pushing her to wear new once if she don't want to.

Like I'm in ballet and when you start at 9, because I started one month ago, and I 9, you gonna start yoga because the pain gets in, but ballet is really beautiful. It's really peaceful, calms my mind down, like it's really fun to do ballet, but the pain you just gotta smile through it because when you smile you will get used to it and it doesn't really hurt that bad. Hey could one of your dancers try out the "new generation of point shoes" from the German factory act'ble. They say it's helping with individual footforms, helps to go through demi point and lasts five times longer than a regular point shoe. I totally understand Maya. Some feet enjoy having more control of their feet movement, where the pointe shoe works for your foot not your foot working the pointe shoe. For these types, working with toe pads is like an opera singer singing with headphones on.
