I've been thinking about sharing my thoughts on travel with you for a little while. You should chalk your tires before you go to sleep in you vehicle. AKA buy wheel chalks or put large rocks/wood in front of and behind each tire so if for some reason your emergency brake gives out you don't slowly go rolling off the side of a mountain while inside asleep. ( I hear those vehicles can be unreliable that's why I drive a Toyota FJ Cruiser.) haha ;)

My dear Eva, I‘m bawling here full of joy and sadness at once. My mother came from that area, her childhood house looks exactly like that house in the video and I remember spending summers there during my childhood in the 70es and 80es, riding on donkeys and playing with my cousins. My parents met in Istanbul and immigrated to Germany in 1972 so I was born in Berlin. But this magic place full of beauty and history, filled with stories of lives, heart opening nature, fındık and çay is and has always been in my heart. I lost my beloved and wonderful Anne a few years ago and I miss her every day. Seeing the places she grew up at makes me melancholic and wakes all my senses. She was quite adventurous as well, I know she would‘ve loved the way you live… Lots of love from Berlin… ♥️

Selam Selda. It's unbelievable after reading your comment, I share similar experiences as you. And what is so remarkable is that I have never visited Turkey as im from Australia born and raised here, but my mother who passed away 4 years ago, would always tell me about her childhood and how she grew up in these beautiful green villages, and how they used to herd the animals, collect their firewood and bake their bread. I won't lie, I did also cry seeing this video cause it reminded me of my mum. May they rest in peace, God willing I want to travel to those places and experience first-hand my mum's village, but I don't know if I can pull through, cause I know im going to be an emotional wreck. 😭😭😭

I think her videos are interesting but she stresses how she's all ALONE (like in the title here). But, it just doesn't seem that's true in the filming. For example, I've only watched up to the 7 min mark in this one. Look at, 6:38 she gets in her car to drive off then gets out and runs to the camera at 6:45 and then the camera is showing her drive off at 6:50. I've seen a lot of shots like that. So, I'm kind of thinking she brings a camera crew. I don't really care if she's alone or not, but just that she's always making such a point of it, seems a bit off.

"There are places in the world where the feeling of being there is much more powerful than what your eyes get to see". What a profound truth that is. Felt it for myself one day on an overlook above Navajo Monument in Arizona. It was beautiful but not the most beautiful place I had seen on that trip, but it brought me to my knees with tears in my eyes for reasons I can only guess at. So yes, that statement is profoundly and literally true.

Some of what you said near the beginning reminded me of something that was said on a different travel KZbin channel. I think it may have been Kara & Nate since they got me into travel KZbin, but they said that there's a difference between travelling and taking a vacation. What most people do when they travel is actually just take a vacation. It's nice to take a break & get away from it all, and that's what those tour companies & all-inclusive resorts are for. But it's a different, and more rewarding experience to actually travel.

Hi Eva, You're a brave girl , but living an incredible life so good for you! As a TD5 owner of almost 15 years, I can give you some tips on keeping the "Deefer" on the road...though you've probably heard them all! Keep the fuel tank at least 1/4 full , the pump is in there and relies on fuel to keep it cool and lubricated! Carry a spare crank angle sensor and plug with some wire! DOn't forget you have 2 oil filters...one normal and a "spinning" rotor that removes super fine dirt from the oil. These engines are bullet proof , but just need to keep an eye on a few things! Safe travels and best wishes. Gregg.

Awwww, I love you Eva! You are so adventurous and brave. I know you are human, with fears and shortcomings like all of us, but you press on to rise above that, which is what makes you so wonderful to watch. (I hope that is taken positively, as I mean it that way.) And I LOVE when Odyssey was MUDDY! That is when a vehicle looks the most beautiful... when it is covered in mud! :-) I actually paused the video to write that, and then after writing I started it again and heard what you said about how you love it, and how it represents serendipity....yes! And for me, it means that you (and your vehicle...in this case, Odyssey...) are really LIVING! You are getting out there, off the beaten track, not worrying so much about how things LOOK, but seeking more for how things ARE, how things FEEL...how things can BE. Real life is messy; enjoy it! And yes, you might not see everything, as you said, but you might just see enough...and maybe that "enough" is more meaningful... in other words, you might not get to see all that you WANT, but you will see all that you NEED, and it never was about getting everything that you wanted, but about experiencing all that you NEED. Keep going girl. You rock. :) (And yes, I loved the different take on your narration - all the thoughts on your travels. I hope to see more! Great work!)

Sometimes I use heads for left and tails for right … but stick to one key until a destination is found …. More random this way perhaps ? Took me two days to drive from Madrid (Spain) to Castelo Branco (Portugal) during the summer … (a four hour drive) but it was an amazing, beautiful, scenic journey ! @@MarshmilloJB Hello, Thanks for your reply. I posted some comments in " Missy Moonwillow " below your post. I think that you are on a fabulous journey! To able to see/participate in.....self-driving cars, flying any where in the world in 29 minutes, going to the Moon , Mars and beyond! Quantuum computing and Machine learning will be fascinating to watch. Today, all of Elon Musk's ( my hero ) companies are so amazing! Google X, The Moonshot Factory and Deep Mind are incredible! I am grateful for your attention and your time in reading my remarks.

new subscriber!! loving your adventures! Such beautiful peaceful locations around the world. This is living. I've lived in places like this, moved to the city for a fake "better" life and now back in the wilderness where true living is.

welcome back to Nature!! I too live in the wilderness after traveling and growing up in crazy busy city. It's nice to come to Eva's channel here, she's showing a very tangible alternative perspective on how to journey through life. AND it's not always glamourous! Obstacles do manifest! Sometimes the soul needs these long journey's in order to experience life, and actually grow until AH HA that purpose of self is realized. I look forward to seeing where her journey's take her... and I think it's cool that you found the space she hold here on youtube. Definitely special. Best wishes to you Tony!

hey Eva, I want to let you know of a trick that many people in my country do while camping. while you have a tuna in oil (still in the can), you put a toilet paper on it and light it on fire when the fire is put off by itself, you can start eating it and many people like it very much

What I have noticed from your videos and I’ve watched quite a few is that people around the world no matter what country are for the most part kind, generous and welcoming. This seems to be even more so in rural areas. Really the only difference between countries are the governments. To your credit Eva this awareness is a gift that you have given to your many subscribers.

That gut feeling that tells you to turn back - ALWAYS listen to it. It will keep you out of trouble. When I'm out alone on trails with my jeep every time I got into serious trouble it was because I didn't listen to my gut. Have fun out there and safe travels ❤️

It is always such a joy to watch your video Eva, and that mostly because I know that I would never travel like this personally, so seeing you do it bravely and freely with a gorgeous smile on your face just makes me so happy watching your adventures! Lots of love! xx

Did I miss the Turkish Delights? Eva you are a special creature. I enjoy watching your explorations. It's a little unnerving seeing you driving on those roads. I lived in an RV for 6 years and stuff breaks... knowing how to fix them or finding a way was always a rewarding part of the journey.

Hi from Oklahoma USA. love your videos. They’re emotionally incredible !!! You remind me so much of my niece Tessa who passed away (in 2013) in a tragic drowning accident when she was only 18 yrs old. Thank you for sharing ! I can only imagine the feels and smells of your adventures. ❤️

Oh Eva, Your travels touch my soul so deeply. You do such a good job with the editing and music picks, just so spot on. I love you after being with you for a while, your authenticity, your boldness, and watching you grow as you travel from place to place. I'd have to say, Turkey is presenting many signs, as if the land there is asking for you to stay. I definitely am so grateful for how your videos always inspire me to reignite my hope in humanity. I literally get teary eyed when you connect with all these beautiful families along the way. Spirits be kind to your bold gentle spirit, and may you be guided and protected for all your travels. Beaming rainbow loves and prayers from NE Washington, USA. ✨💖🌈⛺🚙
