Many of the listings for this product mention overvoltage or "overflow" protection... can you confirm this by looking at the circuits? If it fails in some way, I'd rather not have 36V sent to my 12V device. Thanks for the video!

Hi.. no, this device can give you maximum 10A, if you will connect for example 15A load you will burn it or it will cut off the output (protection reason's) depending from your step down device.
