Corona Virus time will be remembered not only the Catastrophic nightmare that left to the world but also the vision to start re-inventing, remodeling, bringing to life & reconstruct things that we tough wasn't going to work, that remind me my grandfather's :... don't throw away things that you thing are bad, but also think how can you restored. love the idea that we world start thinking that way and implement our time on something that can keep our mind occupied from this pandemic. Bravo!!

Great effort, the cheap bit of foam padding to clamp batteries most vital bit to prevent battery rattling itself to death.... look good though when it doesn't work 👍

Nice work. I definitely got some ideas from this. I've been restoring these lately and it's pretty rewarding. However, economically, you can only work on them for about an hour before you start losing money. I just do a new (standard) charge port and charger, XT60 connectors, general tune up and 7S lithium pack. I allow myself one hour including spot welding the 18650s together. After 60 minutes I have a fully functional scooter with superior performance compared to factory new. I will admit I've spent about 5 hours on one of them, converting it to 48v, 1000 watt controller, 15T sprocket and 800 watt motor. So for about $100 you can have a 25 mph, off road capable scooter that can hang with the big boys!

You hit the BULLSEYE I don't believe in investing alot in these. Just eventually replace motor and controller and lithium of course. I said EVENTUALLY lol

This is what I want to do @tedhancock68 is the motor 48v as well or smaller. I have no idea on batteries what size is best to look for? Hope you don't mind me asking 🙂 xx

Hi, which product are you using at min 7:40 for cleaning the engine? I'm restoring an old "nameless" e-scooter and I took your video as inspiration. Thanks!

These are good for ebikers to experiment with. I'm always mixing lithium cells. I wouldn't take the chance with my bikes. But I get scooters free. You learn the Amp Volt game without blowing up my ebikes PEACE

Cumprimentos

Nice man! Loved it when I saw you put the RED on... If it was up to me, I'd of chosen red wires for the brake wires and hey man while you did all that clean work, you could have cleaned up those tires!! Just giving you crap, it's all good you made it look real clean. Nice work, how long did this take you?

Good frame would be good to update with a hub motor and put a new controller were the old motor was then a decent bank of lithium!
@Hamid9e4 жыл бұрын
You could as well upgraded the batteri to lithium ion, and controller to 500w :)

Hehe... it would definitely be much better... ;) But in this video only restoration.. I'm probably going to do it one day, because i have a lot of challenges about Razor scooters.... :)
@Hamid9e4 жыл бұрын
@@EVCustoms can't wait for it :) i have one, and it could be cool to upgrade to read hub motor around 800w. The original motor is not so powerfull, but they are stil fun :)

What about that wooden platform? You gonna leave it like that? Go to the depot and buy a piece of that aluminum diamond tread, cut it and file it to fit on top that wooden base. That wood thing is gonna rot and disintegrate in no time.
