Ya sure but how long will it last in ofgrid condition using regularly
@RolandW_DIYEnergyandMore3 жыл бұрын
@@showbudgies1517, the 3 main factors keeping LFP cells healthy are: C-rate during charge and discharge, temperature profile and compression. Solar Off-grid are typically the easy going applications it terms of C-rate. Big pack, as you want to have stored energy for maybe a few days, and relatively constant loads pulled over long time intervals. Li-Ion cells of any kind prefer warm temperatures, as then the Ions are moving easily through the battery (internal resistance). LFP is feeling very comfortable at 25-35 deg C. Compression, in terms of holding the cells together, don't let them freely contract and expand as they could delaminate internally under harsh conditions. Do all right, and you will get 5000 cycles till 80% DOD while using 90% of capacity at each cycle (3,5V high and 3,0V low).

A small tip: @ 1:00 if sold as brand new cells, they just don't place a sticker over the existing QR code or scrape it off or do something else obvious. Instead they peel off this top black plastic piece and attach a new one with a fake QR code. In such cases residue of original QR code will still be visible underneath that black plastic strip... I've come across that kinda cells several times. However, concerned the condition of terminals and the fact they have no gaps in between, I think your cells are actually brand new. Failing to put out 280Ah or more in a near 0.2C test is a bit weird though.

Yeah the compression is a big issue. Suggestion? Threaded ready rod. 32 of these units? That is the equivalent of 2 Tesla powerwalls. Nice.
@bobham9193 жыл бұрын
so i am new and would like to ask about 32 cells and what the total capacity would be? if they were configured in a 12v array? what about if it was configured as a 48v like a powerwall?
@davefroman47003 жыл бұрын
@@bobham919 If arranged in twin 48v banks each one would be equivelent to 13.8Kwh of storage. 16 batteries for each bank.

Please do a video on mobility scooter change over from AGM to lithium, incl what BMS & charger etc . EG my scooter is a colt pride executive and currently has 2 x 12v - 100ah batteries in series = 24v. I have the basics sorted but as a newbie, I wonder about things like-do I need to run 2 x BMS as the batteries will be either side of the current battery space, do I need a cooling fan> are they better in a battery box etc etc etc

Nice! I was thinking to order either these or LISHEN 200 Ah cells for 17s 1p for "48v" ofgrid solar pv system with 200a Daly smart BMS and 5kW 100A EPEVER low frequency inverter charger. Eve's datasheet states that capacity is measured at 0.3c so that is within spec :) DoD 80% will indeed prolong its lifetime and allowfor narrower voltage range. How about compression enclosure to prolong lifetime?

What BMS(s) would be an option for an 8S configuration with these batteries at 24V?

Overkill Solar's BMS are probably one of the best for the money. Tons of features and settings and Bluetooth connectivity.

AliExpress has 6+ different BMS that work fine. Overkill’s come from China and you’ll wait 4-8 weeks too.

My batteries I ordered from Basen in december was sold to AS grade a and new. What i got where used batteries with scratches on the poles and different qr codes from many different batches.

My understanding about these cells is that they are made without tapped holes. So, there can be markings on them from that process. Does that make sense?

Thank you for your well done video. It's now June 4th, 2021 and I was wondering if you had an update on how they are performing for you. Still all good? Thanks again, G

Thank you I have been searching the web for answers on the order of connecting BMS to the batteries. If I remember correctly you connected the ground lead to the cells then connected the BMS leads then the black lead. If I have an incorrect idea of the order of connection please let me know.

Only thing that worries me... is getting super used cells like imagine them being originally 310ah cells... used to where they repackage at 280ah. Sure, you get the 280ah but they are several years old. Definatly not saying yours are. I'm sure there is a way to check by measuring the cells like I've seen others do. Diysolar got some cells that this exact scenario happened. The cells were side by side with another group of cells and were larger. Both pulled "rated" power. This has kept me skeptical enough to consider making my own multi round cell batteries. Can you do a tear down on one, as in take wrap off the cell, take the top paper off and see if there is evidence of another QR code or it being another cell? Or do these measure out nicely for them being grade A? Thanks

Great video and thank you for sharing the info on your new supplier. It’s very timely as I am in the planning phase of building my 48v system. Do you mind sharing how you plan to configure yours? I see conflicting stories about pack configs with this chemistry. You also mentioned the 2.2v LVC on the BMS but the recommended cutoff was 2.5v. Will you change to a BMS with the higher 2.5 LVC once you set these up to put into service or keep what you are using now?

I looked at all the comments and it doesn't seem like anybody else noticed this but am I the only one that noticed that at 05:17 the first positive balance lead for the BMS is going on one of the negatives? Isn't it supposed to go to the first positive of the first cell and then work your way up each positive after that?

You checked the conformity of the weight, but not that of the outer dimensions. I have an existing battery enclosure where I think of replacing the cells with those you bought, but they must fit the cabinet. According to the specs published on Aliexpress, they would fit, but did the cells conform the dimensions? If they were any bigger than th spec, they would not fit my enclosure. Could you please check this?

Nice video....What voltage must charge that battery bank (16S) of 51.2V of 360AH so that it reaches 100%?...thanks
@LithiumSolar2 жыл бұрын
These cells are 3.65V full charge so with 16 in series, that would be 58.4V full charge.

Awesome video! I have always liked the thorough delivery of the presentations you give, keep up the good work. In the Alibaba website can you give me the name of the exact merchant that sell your batteries? Also I heard you mention in this video with the prismatic cells that you were seeking to sell some batteries, could you send me a list of battery items you have for sale?

I visited the link you posted for the batteries you got & something doesn't make sense on the cost. Their site shows 4 packs for $138 so the 32 you got, before shipping cost would be $1,100, do I have that right? You said it cost about 3,500 shipped to your door so the shipping cost was $2,400? That seems to be beyond incredible. What am I missing here?

Do you have the comms cable to program the bms? My daly bms came with absolute useless settings. Works like a charm now its properly setup.
