A friend introduced me to Eve, years before I played it. (Just watched him show me ships, and talk about the lore, for a few hours.) What got me interested in the game, was how he explained it. "You want to live forever in space, so you train to be a capsule/clone, for years. And after all this training. You have, a 1: 10,000 chance of success." NOW this part, I don't know if his explanation is correct. ( Kind of makes sense, in some aspects of the game..?) He then told me, once you become a clone, you are always in your pod. For LIFE... Because if you ever get out of the pod, and some one kills your clone that's it. Your life is over." So.... I really freaked out, the first time I played EVE, ( 2014..2015?) When, that update, you could leave your pod, in station, and walk around, in your quarters. ( I was actually scared, someone would enter my quarters, kill me, and I would have to make a brand new character. ) Of course I don't know all the lore, I do know, in the capsule, once it is compromised, there is the transfer, at the moment of death. But maybe that was in the "past", and they "now" are able to do this within the clone, and no longer, have to be in the capsule? Curious which is which.

Is it any wonder why capsuleers are the way that we are?
