@@davidbombal same here, eve-ng is fast, less bugs than GNS3, and in my case I work in a large IT company , so I ask to the data center staff to install EVE-NG in a VM , and because is clientless I can access to it anywhere using a browser.
@davidodav5 жыл бұрын
@@davidbombal EVE-NG has both version free (community ) and paid(professional). from scalability perspective , it is really awesome as being 2xCCIE I run complex labs for POC and it works fine. I already switched off my multi-vendor hardware routers and switches in basement. You can can install it on one server and access it from any machine as it is clientless. In order to enjoy EVE-ng then you need to have really a good server. I invested close to $6k for buying the best server for eve-ng and installed it as bare-metal! When you test it in detail then you will see what I am talking about. I use eve-ng for my RedHat certifications, network automation, for NSX ,...everything at this moment.

Thank you David, very good presentation for a good quality product. For a while I had both deployed, EVE NG and GNS3 (ESXi environment). Things were getting complicated so I had to make a choice, in my case, I opted for GNS3. @IPvZero5 жыл бұрын
@@davidbombal Excellent! GNS3 is great software, there's no doubt there, but I do personally prefer EVE-NG overall. There's just a lot of very small details I like better, like how the interface links are clearer. Or holding your cursor over the interface, changes the devices colour - which makes visually illustrating traffic easier for me when recording. I've always really liked the Web interface (I understand GNS3 is moving this direction, which is definitely the way forward imo!). I've recently upgraded to EVE-NG PRO and the features for suspending links, and easily manipulating link quality like jitter, etc, are just excellent. I can't fault it one bit. Overall, though, I'm just glad we live in a time we have options like EVE-NG and GNS3, since they're absolutely invaluable for teaching, learning and sharing :) -John
