Hi. Something which will help you clear the site faster - in the first room, go straight to the security corridor warp gate and jump - no need to clear the rats. This strategy is also mentioned in the wiki if you are confused. Again, no need to clear rats in the first room, just power on through and jump the security gate.

Thanks, I usually just kill everything just to show how easy it is, especially as the small spawn in that first room is dead by the time you get to the gate anyway. Explains why i got through the gate with no key though! I have a 4/10 vid ready to go, I will mention your input, cheers :)

Leaving live rats in the first room can slow down hunters who aren’t familiar with the site. Although I usually take out the Supply Traffic management building in passing for the overseer effects 5 and (low!) chance of factional module Also worth mentioning once you get past the gate, the nastiest thing that can come after you is a T2 or faction cruiser; no T3s or BCs allowed

Great drop! I did these quite often in a similar fit Caracal, though I've refit the tank for active shield in the last year: because I'm 99.9% of the time in high sec, and I because I came to like using active shield tank in the abyss. Also I feel it can sustain incoming dps in Guristas 4/10 better (less (if not no) need to go back in station after finishing first room). But for low sec I understand a buffer tank can be handy (what Gustav Manfred seems to mostly use in his PVP fit). I also use tech 1 missiles and shoot 2 missiles at Serpentis Spy, 3 at Agent and Watchman, 5 at Patroler and 6 at Guard and Safegard, and the drones will finish up any of them if for some reason I did less damage than expected. It requires more attention than just hitting F1, but depending on what is on the field I can sometimes kill 2 rats at the same time (ex: Spy(2) and Watchman(3)). Here is one variation (I'm a altaholic and have quite "a few" alpha). Sometimes I'll use 2 multispectrum shield hardner, sometimes the second hardener will be of a specific damage type. Got one of these as an escalation in a 0.8 system, so decided to run it as a blaster Incursus. I was surprised how easy it was. I had to pull range a couple of times to allow my cap to recharge, but never really felt out of control. Biggest issue was having to warp out to empty off loot as not enough cargo space... 48M - not too shabby

For ship with drones target painter is nice to "remind" drone to work. Or direct them to a specific target. IGN the Dark Logan. The Narco warehouse is my favorite site in high sec if you like to salvage it is great.

Yeah the target painter helps you, your drones and your mates. Also useful for pulling aggro for dedicated drone boats.

Re salvaging - just about worth salvaging the two overseer cruisers - if you get lucky can get 5mill or so in T2 salvage. I bookmark the wrecks and come back after the site despawns, rather than flying through it again, or if in a gila / CNI fit a salvager in the utility slot and pick ‘em off on the first run through. Serpentis 4/10 has an overseer battleship, which can be a lot of T2 salvage.

Loved the video, as always. With so much to do in LS do you sometimes log on for the day and just sit in station trying to figure out what to do. When I lived in a WH I would do this constantly, because sometimes it seems like there is just too much to do.

There is a lot to do but really you need a bit of everything in Low sec as I talked about in the feast or famine video. I usually pick a ship to take out and look for appropriate stuff, reshipping, or even changing alt if there is something the Alpha can't run. Keeping your fits versatile and running sites without the 'optimal' fit as you find them really helps with this.

Great video Dad! I'm impressed you can survive down in that pocket of low. Intergalactic Space Hobos were too much for me to deal with, I had to move to a less active pocket. I could hardly find the space to get things done. I also have to say that your lowsec philosophy has really changed how I play. Last time I was hunted on one of these sites in low sec, I did jump away and back, and like you said they were waiting for me at the entrance. Luckily, I warped in at distance, and was able to get away again. They seemed pretty mad they didn't get to kill me, though they got the loot. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I almost always get the worst drops when I do these in low sec. IGN: Jae Ablem

I am glad you hear you got away, lesson learned :). To be honest hunting can be very frustrating as you need the other guy to mess up or remain oblivious for you to get to them. These multi room sites should be very safe.

please can you show us the follow on of how you convert the loot into isk? i gather you go back and sell it somewhere, i have tried recently to set up industry, basic T1 modules and ships, in a system near to warzone and other lowsec systems and its a pain to move things from Jita/Dodi to where i need them. Also moving stuff back is a nightmare (gatecamps, chokepoints etc). i have lost too many haulers although learned which systems to avoid, i understand highsecbb and courier contracts but they subtract from my potential earnings. I am doing FW and also general LS activities.

Also, do you rat in nullsec? If so, what sort of ship/fit do you recommend. I took a thorax out and it got instantly annihilated, just wondering what ship you would recommend... I only really have Gallente ship/weapon skills. Thanks in advance.

To get loot back from Nullsec, use a cloaked blockade runner and pochven express. Contract it all to a Jita market alt, and fly the blockade runner back to null base either empty or with supplies /ammo/ spare Covops frigs etc in hold. The Jita alt can manage all the market orders whilst the nullsec alt gets back to ratting/ hacking etc. Some loot is really useful though - so the Corelli a type 1MN and 5MN prop mods are the last word in frigate / destroyer mobility. Fit them and use them; if you run enough DED 3/10 you’ll have enough supply to ensure you don’t worry too much if you lose the ship they’re fitted to.

Caracal is great for newbros, but when you get more experience with the game, you might want to use a destroyer for 3/10 and lower in low sec. More agility, if you don't want to get caught. And I actually do those in a Tristan. More time for the last room, but the cost of being caught is laughable.

That's my #1 piece of advice in all the escalation vids for the HS guys, bring a dessie, never a cruiser. The 'bigger is better' thinking makes a lot of low sec newbros have a bad day. . As I said i just wanted to see how it compared time wise as it cost about the same as the Navy cormorant, local was dull and the Caracal dusty. :) o7

Funny how you suddenly can 'forget' about the loot. What I do often in the larger sites is kill the boss, bookmark the wreck and return after 2 minutes. All enemies (and the site) despawns within that time, the wreck stays. Given the nature of your specific site, this may not apply to all. It's typically my approach when I'm flying my Svipul and I snipe everything in my path. IGN - Dianera Dragosha
