Love watching these vids. I'm not skilled enough to be a ganker, but it's fun to see how they operate. Pretty sure you've saved me a loss or three, I no longer use cargo extenders and I shield up as much as I can on all my haulers. You've also convinced me to move to Deep Space Transports and Blockade runners for all my Jita trips. I don't particularly want to be ganked, but I fugure if you catch me, that's on me. Pretty sure this is what I voted for (been a while). In any case happy to see it and pleased to see that a T1 indy CAN be tanked well enough to handle a lone cruiser. Thankfully I have moved on to well tanked DSTs and BRs now, but it wasn't all that long ago I was making perilous jumps in a brick fit Tayra and a speed fit badger. Also, after watching your videos, I kept my cargo expanders in my hold unless absolutely necessary.

I think most people buy Haulers from Jita and get them fitted with expanded cargohold T2s to take them to their home systems where they plan on using them, thats why you see many empty ships with cargohold II

Many Pilots do go to Jita with their cargo full of Missionloot and Salvage in order to sell and make their way home with the hauler emptied out, thats why you saw so many empty ones which were coming down from jita. Try scanning the ones that go towards jita, might yield some more jucier targets.

most people use sunesis to transport valuable mission loot to jita, and t1 hauler for the rest cheap crap. So usually it is few runs of sunesis with 500+M each, and 1 trip of nereus with near 100m loot and strong shield. Not worth it to gank.

18:45 - btw, alot of viewers might not know that remote shield repair applies its bonus immediately at the start of its cycle, whereas remote armor repair applies at the end (meaning that bonus for shield happens the moment you can obtain target lock)...even seasoned pve mission runners might not really comprehend this because for them it's local tank and a few seconds here and there doesn't really mean much to them.

The time to remove expanders is when hauling gold bars. It doesn’t matter if a hauler has expanders while it’s carrying nothing of value. Only a self-righteous griefer would SGank an empty hauler with weak tank.

02:30 - note that a ship scanner is going to be affected by scan resolution size of the target (which is why you get 100% accuracy on scanning upwells)...CODE still has their obsolete ship scanner calculator up but it's tuned to the old style shield hardeners and stuff so...yeah, not really useful anymore

Eve has always favoured the ganker, the whole game is set up that way, only when they get outrageous do CCP change the rules a little bit, after the first gank he should have been destroyed in empire space, thats what you pay taxes for, but the status loss is small so he can re-ship many times, I don't play now but the number of -10 players hanging around high sec was ridiculous, Navy and Police should shoot them on sight, alts bring ships in and -10 then ganking and repeating the same again should never be a thing, the lore should mean outlaws should not be able to use ANY high sec services, one in low sec or null then thats different, you take your chances, at least add filaments has made null a bit less safe, it was safer than high sec patrolled by navies and concord.

@@Taz6688 I saw someone float an idea i liked; Let the security status of the pilot be reflected in the CONCORD response time. Pilots with high security should get help faster and vice versa. It's would be one more variable for sgankers to factor in and it would make staying out of trouble actually pay off in some way.

My guess with the empty cargo holds is that your seeing people leaving after they unloaded. Maybe they are coming in from an alternate rout, and leaving where you are camped. I use unorthodox routs myself. May take longer, but its better than loosing the ship and cargo.

My T1 hauler has 19k EHP and 3.78s align time, none of which will ever make me feel safe. Moving expensive stuff is one of the most nerv wrecking things you can do. Without MacGybo and his friends this game would be very boring.

T1 haulers cannot fit Covert Ops cloaks which is required for warping cloaked. All you can do with a cloak fitted T1 is cloak and coast at 10+% speed away from the gate. The only hauler that can for a Covert Ops cloak is the Blockade Runner; which can warp cloaked, cannot be cargo scanned and start at 150'ish mill unfitted.
